A different waste plug than ordered was delivered which would not work with my application due to the overall length being longer than the standard one I ordered.Item was also faulty as the seal between the top of the waste and basin is so thin the waste touches the basin before the seal does. So that won't hold water then!!!!The non standard nut has an external thread that the bottle trap screws onto but the thread is so short that you cannot tighten the trap enough to compress the seal so that won't hold water either.The seller refuses to acknowledge it is different from the item ordered despite photographic evidence showing that it doesn't match any of their items listed.They also refuse to acknowledge the defects!A complete and utter waste of time and money!I strongly advise anyone to only buy from a reputable and professional seller and give this company a very wide berth indeed!!

This unit looks OK, but unlike the last waste I bought (from another supplier) this has a plastic disk rather than a metal one. This seemed fine when i installed it, but i have since found that filling the basin with hot water makes the plastic expand, the plug then refuses to move (swivel). The only options being hit it with something and risk damaging the plastic, or wait for it to cool down and then have the joy of putting your hand in cold dirty water.My advice, look for a better waste unit with a metal plug. Frankly if it wasn't such a pain to remove it, i would not be keeping this one.

The photo of this produce indicates a high quality produce with all metal pieces looking well chromed. It also shows a brass or similar nut to screw onto the waste pipe threaded section. It doesn't come like this. The nut is actually plastic, so not as indicated and no doubt much weaker than a metal equivalent. Also some of the chrome parts are rough in nature, again not as indicated.Again I feel conned. It's happening a lot more these day's were the photo's indicate one thing then when you get the actual goods they are not of the indicated standard.I hope this helps anyone looking to buy this item.

Got fed up with clicker / spring loaded design that seemed to easily get stuck / clogged with hair.Also the clicker type needs to be unscrewed to clean under it's rim - we seemed to get a build-up of soap scum or something yucky and you don't realize how nasty it has built-up as its hiding out of sight.Maybe I had a bad one, but this design is super-simple and I can't see how it will not just work forever, maybe a de-scale depending on your water type.Only negative is an aesthetic one: you can now 'peer down the throat' of your basin somewhat depending on what angle you leave the disc - I suppose the clicker design always looks neater, but hides germs?

The one I received was very poor quality. the holes in the side had sharp edges and the flip flop part of the waste kept sticking and only worked in certain positions : I sent it back for a refund and purchased another one from another source that was compatable in price and worked perfectly, whether mine was a one off faulty one I cannot say.

I am pleased that I purchased this as a backup because the quality of it is not much better than one would expect to get in an item purchased in a typical £1 shop. I'm not exactly filled with confidence when I see the note which informs me that I have to use silicion on joints which have been manufactured in order to stop potential leaks.

Our en-suite bathroom sink needed a new 'plug' to replace the click-clack push down one which had broken. I hate plugs and did not want another click Clack type, so neither were an option and came across this on Amazon. I thought about the plug flip types that you find in hotels and came across thison Amazon. It arrived very quickly and the chrome looked really good quality. The plumber fitted it and with the new chrome mixer tap and lookes really great, easy to keep clen and no messy sludge with an ordinary plug. I am now going to purchase another one to fit the downstairs toilet as that Clicl-Clack plug has also now broken.
