Purchased for one reason only, simmering overnight long Texas red chili. My RV propane stove has limited range for the simmer nor do I desire emissions for such lengthy periods in the same chambers as I sleep. Functionally it was near perfect for task, the control knob is a bit flimsy however able to select and maintain a mild reduced simmer. While I would still prefer the gas portable units for active cooking functions (those made famous at all patio outdoor brunch venues), for my need this was a awesome solution.

After cooking for all of my kids and now living in a bungalow on the water, I NEVER thought I could live with a hotplate!!!!!!!!!! But the things that I have made with this little guy have proven me wrong. It heats fast and even, and can be tucked away for extra counter space. Cools completely in about 10 minutes and very easy to clean. And the price is just an extra extra! From eggs to soups, from sauce to sauteed filet minion, this is your preferred burner. ;)

I love it! Wanted an extra burner just in case. Thought it was defective because light didn't come on until the number 3 setting. No worry. Could be a safety measure. Once number 3 came on, that burner got really hot and stayed hot for a while once turned off. The surrounding metal didn't get hot at all even though there is a "hot" sticker. I like it a lot. Very happy.

I bought this after my gas stove developed a leak. I cook all my own food and do not eat prepared foods, so having a way to cook was imperative. Right now, it is two months old and has been used at least every other day, probably closer to once a day. The pros are it is simple to operate, heats fairly well, and stores well when not in use. It cleans up easily, even when I manage to boil stuff over. Speaking of boiling, it does not bring water to a rolling boil but still boils well enough to cook pasta OK. However, I could not fry potatoes. Maybe the pan was too big or maybe the heat did not go high enough, but despite whatever I tried, I could not get it hot enough to fry, thus it loses a star. But otherwise, I like it, it looks decent, it did not cost a fortune and has held on for two months so far. Time will tell how long it lasts, but for now I am very satisficed and am glad I bought it.

I was waiting to used it multiple times to give my review. Amazing I will invest in a single burner soon. Control tempeture perfect. Gorgeous looking and easy to clean. Delivery by promised date. Exactly as described. I usually take pictures, but not this time what you see is what you get. Consider me impressed.

I absolutely love this. Unlike the one i had before the heat level is definitely the best and most convenient thing is that you can move it around and the boil time is just the same if you would’ve used a regular stove.

It's okay, it has a hot spot on the right rear, it gets hotter there than the rest of the plate. The logo has rubbed off partially from regular cleaning. That occurred within the first month. I have a nice circular silicone cover that fits perfectly to cover the burner. The burner itself quickly became discolored and unsightly just from use, not spills or cleaning. Having said all of that, it otherwise functions well. Good for sending your kid off to college or for a first apartment.

We bought it cuz there is a smaller coffee pot that wouldn't fit on the regular stovetop. It works perfectly for that purpose and hits up fast. I can see that it can be used for possibly hot pots and other purposes as well so it is really multi-function. The only complaint though is that it has little grooves on the heating plate that is making it harder to clean comparing to a flat and smooth surface.
