Q: I can see that the rings on back of my mirror will click over the safety springs - but how will they unhook when the spring clip points downwards?

They don't hold it securely like you think they would, if you life the picture it will pop off the clips easily

Q: will 2 of these hooks hang my 25kg mirror & what size raw plugs will i need ????

Yes. I’ve hung a mirror of at least that weight with these. Plugs are provided - the red size.

Q: For certain reasons i want to use a different plug for fixing this apart from whats already provided. Can anyone suggest the plug size of the screws?

Hi i did the same. i used a 8mm fischer 555006 DUOPOWER Wall Plug and a 50mm screws at 4.5. even though the screw doesn't fit flush in the hole, as they are countersunk you get the same fixing. I felt a little more safer using my screws rather than the ones provided. i felt i had more support hanging a big mirror.
