Update: 22 June 2024, Smell was caused by zero water filter that was only a month old.... This electric kettle works fine, I cannot get the fish smell out even with vinegar. UPDATE: Have been using daily since I received it June 2023. A few days ago, June 2024, I noticed a fishy smell in my kitchen. I rarely have fish and couldn’t figure out where it was coming from, Scrubbed kitchen and used vinegar in kettle. Yesterday morning, turned kettle on and again smelled fish. The smell is coming from the kettle. In the picture, you see a hole at the top of inside kettle, that hole appears to go into the handle. I can only assume that something that shouldn’t be growing is in that hole and causing the oder. It’s in the trash now and will buy a different brand. Worked great before the horrid fish smell. ********************************************************************************* I received the kettle yesterday. No strange smells noted. The inside is solid stainless steel with no seams, that is important to me. Cleans easily, auto shut off works. The outside is a white plastic type material. I am not a fan of plastics. It doesn’t touch the water. The inside of the spout is stainless steel. 1.7 liters water = 3.7479 pounds of water. (One US gallon of water weighs around 8.33 pounds or 3.78 kilograms). The empty kettle weighs 2.14 pounds for shipping. A kettle full of water weighs 5.4479 pounds. If the outside of the kettle was made of ceramic, it would be much heavier. It would look pretty, but be heavy. Hoping this one lasts longer than many many other brands I’ve had. Will update review if needed.

Ok I have purchased over 15 kettles on Amazon over this past year along with spending over 40+ hour’s researching all the kettles and I’ve finally landed on this one. I have a boscare kettle that I adore but it’s soo small and I am someone who uses a kettle to wash a sink full of dishes to fill a large soup pot, even to throw in to heat up my bathwater, so using a little 2 cup kettle got old real quick. Key points about this kettle is a removable METAL interior lid not freaking plastic like 99% others and that it heats water mad quick like you blink and it’s done. Full to the top takes about 6 minutes but 2cups is within 30 seconds. Last is the switch stays down after you remove it from base so when you out in back on the base it continues to heat. This is a big safety concern if you leave it unattended, big; but for me this sold me on the kettle. I hate having to re-activate the switch to heat remaining water after I lift it up. It’s only been 1 month so longevity is unsure but it feels like it’ll last.

I bought this electric kettle to have hot water ready for cooking, and I specifically wanted something that could keep water warm for a long time and had an insulated body. Another requirement for me was a fully stainless steel interior. This kettle checks both boxes. However, the overall construction feels lightweight and does not use premium components, especially the controller. I am used to kettles that have a Strix controller on the base, but this one does not. The stainless steel inside is also on the thinner side. The lid, which also has a stainless steel inner surface, is removable—this is a major plus because it makes refilling and cleaning very easy. The outer part of the lid has a silicone ring to seal the kettle properly. The compact size is another advantage because it takes very little space in my kitchen and is convenient for daily use. Overall, I am impressed with the insulation and its ability to keep water warm for a long time. The only concern is long-term durability, which still remains to be tested.

This kettle worked well for a couple years but I recently noticed liquid from the kettle pooling around the base, which is scary and hazardous. I was initially perplexed as to how liquid was escaping out of the metal interior, which is completely intact. It seems like there's a failure or a bad seal somewhere around the mouth/spout of the kettle, so whenever I pour, some liquid is dripping back into the kettle BETWEEN the outer plastic and metal interior and dripping down through crevices and onto the base. Ugh.

This is an excellent product. Worked as it should right out of the box. It is attractive and has clean lines. It is easy to clean. It is easy fill because the lid can be removed completely and is not a flip top. In my experience the flip top lids are cumbersome and often snap off from repeated use. And if you have hard water, this is the style you want to use if you're going to get any kind of build up from deposits in your water. Glass kettles get etched and grimy from mineral build up.

This is one of those products that puts a smile on my face when I use it, because it's so simple but exactly what I want! The large size is great. With smaller kettles, you pretty much have to put water in it every time you want to heat some up. I drink coffee and tea throughout the day, so it's nice to be able to get several cups from one fill-up. The wide top is great. It's easy to get the water in it, even if you are pouring from a jug. And it's easy to wipe out. The outside stays cool enough you won't get injured if you touch it after you've made the water boiling hot. The design of the base makes it super easy to get on and off. I have absolutely nothing negative to say about this product. Buy it!

Es linda, funciona perfecto, calienta al 💯 y a velocidad luz, pero es importante que es para un litro, si quieres calentar menos se puede pero hay un mínimo que es como 350 ML. Satisfecha con mi compra

Es genial, el agua se calienta en un abrir y cerrar de ojos, mucho más rápido que en el micro o qué en la estufa. Vale la pena al 💯. Es un poco grande, no es un problema para mí, pero hay un modelo más pequeño que no he probado.
