Nice bang for the buck drive
I purchased 2 of these 12TB drives to install into my Synology DS218+ NAS. I was slightly concerned that they may not be recognized as an approved drive but that all subsided once they were installed and working perfectly! The NAS recognizes them as a Seagate ST12000NM001G. I formatted the file system as a BTRFS and they provide 10.9 TB of free space. They are slightly noisy when they are working hard transferring data but other than that I really can't complain. This IS a really great drive with a 3 year warranty for half the price of the same drive with a Seagate nameplate. They arrived in a sealed box with a warning label showing if the seals were broken to contact the seller for a replacement. Once the box was opened, the drive was in another sealed antistatic bag. They both installed perfectly without any issues.

Absolute junk
I bought 2 and neither one will format. Both defective and being returned. These are junk. Can't believe Amazon is even selling them. Waste of my time.

Purchased 4 Units, 2 Failed After Just 1,000 Hours
I purchased 4 units to use in our brand new Unifi NVR. The NVR is connected to power from an APC UPS with conditioned power, and the rack is air conditioned. The 2 surviving units show a run time since first use of just 1,030 hours. I am processing a return of the 2 failed units and will be ordering replacements to see if this was perhaps just a fluke bad batch.

Drive was DOA
When I received the drive and installed it my Synology NAS it said not drive found. I put the drive in an external docking station and when I turned the dock on the drive did not spin up. I tried 10 times and then it finally spun up but would not be seen by the computer and made a loud strange noise. Returned drive.

Buy something else
I bought 1 of these drives to replace a failed drive, it ran 784 hours before giving many read errors. Other than that they are very loud, I guess you do get what you pay for.
