I'm currently using this to hold an easy bar on the wall but it would certainly hold a men's standard Olympic bar (45 lbs). I even tested a hex bar with it... not sure of the weight of the hex bar but it is at least 40 lbs... this mount held it up easily. It was pretty simple to install by myself with the use of a cordless drill to create pilot holes and a screwdriver to put in the screws. I screwed it into a stud using a stud finder. My main tip is to make sure you measure the length of the collar of the bar you want to hang and leave a few inches of clearance to there is room to lift your bar up and into the bracket, because you can't just slide it straight in due to the little tabs on the face of the mount that keep the bar from slipping out.

This is perfect for my very expensive loadable dumbbell handles from Gungnir. Keeps them off the floor so they're not in the way, getting accidentally kicked or stepped on.

It's good quality, easy to assemble and does exactly what it's supposed to do. It's very sturdy with top notch mounting screws. It's well worth the money.

Works great for storing my barbell when not in use or off from the floor when I need to move stuff around on the rack. The padding minimizes sliding and dampens a bit of noise. I mounted to a stud rather than using the included anchors, but installation was easy. I leveled the hanger, marked the holes, drilled pilot holes with a 7/32 bit, partially drilled the screws in with my impact wrench, and leveled again before tightening the screws down.

Looks good. Hold both my 20kg and 15 kg bar just fine. Wish it did come with rubber/plastic padding for the edges where the bar slides in. Hardware is sufficient.

Very sturdy. Seems to hold a good bit of weight and I glad the hardware screws into the same spot so that both screws are in the stud.

This product is falsely advertised. It does not fit an Olympic bar, or thinner bars, its wide enough to fit a pen! Its made from very weak, soft metal that bends easily and fails to hold 1kg. Based on older reviews, the quality and product appears to be completely different.

Flimsy junk. Doesn’t fit Olympic bar bell size. Not sure how this product got such good reviews. Definitely would not be able to hold the barbell anyway.
