For use with the Dymo XTL 300 and the XTL 500 labelling machines
This Dymo XTL Laminated Wire/Cable Wrap is for use with the Dymo XTL 300 and the XTL 500 labelling machines. There are nine label sizes to choose from and this version measures 21 mm wide by 39 mm long. Wires and cables can be tricky things to label easily – but it can be essential to be able to correctly identify them quickly when necessary. These labels by Dymo are of industrial strength and made to withstand the toughest conditions; they can cope with moisture, chemicals, a wide range of temperatures and UV light for example. With this roll you get 150 labels and at the current price each label works out at a little under fifteen pence. These labels are easy to use and easy to apply and get the job done efficiently – made in Belgium these labels are a specialist product for a specific job and they do it well.

Doesn't work well with small fonts
This is the cartridge you need to get if you want to label cables with an XTL label maker. There's one problem, though, and that is that the XTL labeller isn't very good with small print fonts - they come out spotty and hard to read. So if you just want to label mains leads that's fine - use a large font and your CPU, PRINTER, ROUTER, etc labels will be good enough. But if, for example, you want to label a shelf's worth of Ethernet cables by floor and socket outlet - as you might if you were setting up a patch panel or a switch - then the font is going to come out smaller and your labels will be correspondingly harder to read. It's not a specific fault with this label cartridge product but, in my experience (and I've tried two XTL label makers, one being a replacement for the other) a generic problem with the XTL system.

Dymo XTL Laminated Wire/Cable Wrap
This laminated wire/cable wrap is designed for use with the Dymo label maker. These labels are designed to withstand tough conditions – such as UV lights, moisture or heat. You get 150 labels and they are ideal for labelling wires and cables. We have millions of cables at work and I used these to label just a few of them. Gradually, I would like to replace the labels that are already there, with these. It makes life so much easier if you can identify wires/cables easily and these are clear and very visible. You can also, obviously, type whatever you want on the label, so you can make it specific to your needs.

Decent labelling
Firstly the price is too high for what it is, but there are no serious competitors so you have to live with it. These are designed for cable labelling and they work well. You need to use a decent sized font to make them work good and be legible. They are moisture-proof although that shouldn't be a concern around electrical cables anyway, right? The text is quite durable but can be scratched off with a fingernail - shouldn't be a problem for cabling though.

Refill cartridge of Dymo XLT 300 and 500 machines
This is the same 'tape' as was supplied with the Dymo XTL 300 machine. It's designed to wrap around cables so has a transparent part and a white tab on which the text is printed. The Dymo automatically detects the tape size and will even prompt you to save the current label if it doesn't fit the new style. As with the other labels the ink is not great is on a cassette feed which reminds me of audio cassettes from the 80's. The finish is just a bit flimsy, rubs off far too easily. They way the tape sits in the machine means that you can see how it has printed until you make another label or by cutting it off.

Make sure they are compatible
There is little to say about these other than make sure that they are compatible with the labelling machine that you have they fit the 300 & 500 XTL.These are mainly for longitudinal labelling of cables with a printed section and a transparent wrap round. They are easily visible and are very helpful if you have a number of cables and need to easily identify them.Although intended for cable labelling I have also used them for general labelling and either cut off the transparent section or just left it in place to provide a greater sticky area if there is room.

durable and moisture resistant
These are ideal for labelling all those annoying cables that cause so much confusion in the household! There is nothing worse than being confronted by an array of cables, and having to unplug them all to find the one you want! Well, with this product you can label each cable individually and clearly, and save yourself a major headache! The labels are for use with XTL 300 and XTL 500 label makers, and are hardwearing, durable, moisture and chemical resistant, with many uses. Recommended.
