Top 10 St Petersburg (Pocket Travel Guide) Paperback – May 16, 2017

Good size, great selection and pics. Would definitely buy again!

We bought this book for our trip to St. Petersburg, Russia, in July, 2018. This is an easy to use guide and gives you the highlights of the top ten tourist sites. We were lucky we had an excellent tour guide who was providing us a tour of St. Petersburg on the way to our hotel. He also helped us translate our money, US dollars into rubles. We got an excellent rate, which was much better than the airport. The book has become more of a keepsake and reminder of the memories we had from our trip.

Didn't receive the pull-out map and guide--disappointed because it's a main feature of the TOP 10 Eyewitness Travel Guides..

Didn't warn us how crowded it gets when the cruise ships disgorge their passengers all over the streets. Some of the restaurants are too kitschy for my taste. They may be okay for a tour group of old Soviet types. You can find better places on your own. Maps aren't very functional; you would need a separate, detailed map or pay for internet access. Ended up not using the book very much--wasn't very functional.

Eyewitness usually does a good job. This is Eyewitness Lite. Maybe the print version doesn't weigh as much as a regular Eyewitness Guide. I don't know as I bought it on Kindle. One thing I do know for sure is that this "guide" doesn't have much more info than a feature article from a travel magazine. Save your money or buy the full-size guide.
