Best Travel Book I've Bought
I've traveled through Europe several times and always had one of these books with me. They have a ton of useful information on major cities while not overdoing it on random information. It's extremely convenient having one book that covers all of Europe. Even though this book was published the same year we traveled, some of the places they recommended were permanently closed already, so it's definitely important to get the most recent copy. I wish they had one of these for Asia too!

Wider range of information!
Rough Guides are the best for people who travel on a lower budget or people who want something other than the typical tourist destinations.

Work a little harder or hire a few more staffers and you could find yourself there.
People don't buy books like Rick Steves that have no money concerns. It's the opposite, people on a budget know if they can save on their meals or lodging they can sgueeze in one more day or one more place. If a travel guide can do this, it's a bargain at almost any price if it does'nt there's not going to be a next time. Dig a little deeper for better priced places to stay even out of town a little way, and eating places, Rick, if you don't want to go to them send a staffer. Find an Adam Richmond to hire, give him the money you spend on one meal for him for him to spend for 5 days have him have someone snap a picture identfying the restaurants and food and have a bill to submit. Maybe have a small entertainment section in the back of the book with the staffer at some of the locations so they can walk by and say,"hey that was really a placemaybe we should try it." Tell him or her it's all about integrity. Do the samething with places to stay. Then us readers will have something we'll want to read.
