Pure Organic Marula Oil for face, hair, nails and body
Presenting my Vine review for Dr. Mercola Ola Botanicals Facial Oil (1 Fl. Oz.), Marula Oil, Hydrating & Rejuvenating, USDA Certified Organic, Cruelty Free, Soy Free, Gluten Free, Non GMO. This is packaged and sold as a facial oil and it performs very well as one but you can use it for so much more as I am a repeat user of Marula Oil. It is great for both aging dry skin and oily acne prone skin. I patted it on my face, it is a light oil and absorb and I am able to wear under liquid foundation makeup and it leaves a nice glow or use alone at night. I don't detect much of a scent and with the pump dropper glass bottle is easy to dispense the amount needed, just 3 drops or so for face and neck. Other uses are to smooth hair, rub a drop between your palms and pat onto your hair and brush - great to eliminate frizz . I've read reports that works well on curly hair too. It is also great for nail beds and cuticles and helps strengthen your nails. I found other uses too online: "Amounts and Dosage There’s no specified amount or dosage you need to make sure to use. However, many people apply small drops of the oil to their faces, hands, or hair to finish off their skin care routines. Marula oil restores elasticity and smooths out cellulite and scars. You can use marula oil during the day or at night. Whether you have dry or oily skin, it doesn’t matter. The oil will moisturize no matter where it’s applied. You can apply it right before putting on makeup since it absorbs so quickly. The key is to dab the oil on your face — no rubbing, just tapping. This helps the oil sink into your skin. Some shampoos have marula oil included in their list of ingredients. However, if yours does not, you can add a few drops to it if you wish. Another way to use marula oil is to apply it to your hair before you shampoo. Both of these methods help your hair gain the health benefits of marula oil. Marula oil is also popularly used as a body lotion. Apply it liberally after bathing or before bed on dry skin. It penetrates deep, even where the skin is the thickest. " Dr Mercola products are quality sourced and made, the cost is equal to other organic USDA offerings with the assurance of a well known trusted supplier. I really like that it comes in a sealed GLASS bottle to keep its purity and is easy to dispense and to travel with. This is a very versatile oil and great for the face. This is great to keep handy as so many beauty uses and can attest to the quality of this Dr Mercola oil and recommend highly.

Facial lotion
Very oil, didn't absorb into the skin and no noticable difference

Very Hydrating
The oil had a slight nutty scent. It smoothed on easily and didn't absorb quickly. The oil sits on the skin and leaves a slight sheen. I usually use this as my last step in my routine. My skin looks soft and smooth when I wake up in the morning.

Silky smooth
Fragrance free facial oil! Absorbs quickly! I rub a small amount into my palms and start at my neck and work my way up to my face! Leaves my skin feeling silky smooth and refreshed! It’s oil so a little goes a long way! I love it! Highly recommend!

It’s good IF you like oils (but apparently I don’t care for oils)
First of all, I love that it’s USDA certified organic and marula oil has some amazing properties. It is hydrating. And I like the push button dropper. However, I’ve never used an oil on my face before, and unfortunately I don’t like it. I prefer lotions, creams and serums which aren’t as heavy on my skin. This oil, while sparingly only using a couple of drops, still makes my face feel and look oily/greasy, and I want to wash my face clean as soon as I put it on (I refrain from washing it off, despite the desire to clean my face). I’ve tried it multiple times —sometimes at night and sometimes during the day. I realize the benefits of the oil so I will use it once in a while, but I won’t be using it frequently. It’s just a personal preference. It is hydrating and long-lasting, so if you don’t mind oils, this seems like a good one to use. It comes in a dark brown glass container and had clear plastic around the top but I was easily able to simply slide the piece of plastic off without ripping it — so it’s not really tamper-proof.

Good for skin
I’ve never used this kind of oil before, but it seems to be good for skin. Like any facial oil, it does tend to sit on your skin for a while before soaking in. It doesn’t have a notable smell, and while I’m not normally a fan of these fancy looking dropper caps, this one does seem to work well. The oils seems to work well on my skin without irritation or breakouts.

ORGANIC MARULA OIL ~~ THICKER AND PRICIER, NOT "PURE, COLD-PRESSED" QUALITY
As a lightweight moisturizer for daily use on dry skin, Marula Oil is one of the good ones that is hard to beat, and I've been a longtime advocate of it. This brand by Dr. Mercola is certified organic which means cruelty free, gluten free, soy free and non-GMO. Please note that the description page indicates the ingredients as Marula Oil and Soy, but there is no soy in this product. The black opaque bottle also protects the integrity of the oil which should be stored away from direct sunlight and heat to preserve it's potency. The quantity is a generous 1 FL oz with the push top dropper. Just push it in once you unscrew the lid and the serum goes into the dropper. Odorless, colorless, and great for wrinkles and lips. there is no downside to the oil. The cost of this one comes in at twice the price of my most expensive Marula Oil, which is the more desirable "pure, cold-pressed" version. It's such a great oil to use on a regular basis, even though you don't need to pay this amount to get good Marula Oil. Organic certified is a plus, but there aren't any other ingredients anyway. In this case, you're largely paying for the organic certification. What should you look for in a good Marula Oil? Two things. The best comes from Africa and this one is from Namibia. Ka-ching. The other thing is the "pure, cold-pressed Marula Oil", which this one isn't. Considering that the price is high, however, Marula Oil that checks off most of the boxes without any downsides is always worth it. Feel free to use the wherever skin, hair, nails are dry. I've been using it regularly for a few years now. For those of you who are oil-challenged, this version is thicker and oily. It also absorbs well though not completely, but leaves skin unbelievably smooth. Together with quality Almond and Coconut Oils, these oils are the trifecta of beauty. On the pricey side.
