Effervescent tablets are always a fun way to enhance a drink of water into something more juice-like but with potential added benefits. In this case that would be calcium and vitamin D3. And while I find the taste quite enjoyable with a strong tartness from the lemon-lime flavor, the calcium is a little hard to drink. Compared to a typical calcium oral supplement, the amount of calcium and vitamin D3 are comparable. If we compare it to Jamieson's Calcium + D3 tablets, you have the exact same 500mg of calcium but those have 25ug of vitamin D3 instead of the 2.5ug found in this Nutrazul supplement. Effervescent tablets are always more expensive though, but know that for less money you can get more value for your money, just not quite as enjoyable. But the main problem I find with these is that the calcium is perhaps clumped up in too large of chunks, making them not very soluble in the water but also they tend to sink and stick to the bottom of the cup. You need to stir it right before taking a good sip to get a bit more of it out---and very often you still end up with some stuck to the bottom. So in reality you get less than the advertised amount of calcium. You can scoop that up and eat it from the spoon (yeah sometimes there is that much) but it's like eating chalk and not exactly the most pleasant. So the overall consensus I have to give is that, while the product is generally excellent (hence the rating), you WILL get less than the labeled amount of calcium. Still a great way to add taste to water while enjoying additional benefits though, hence I would say around 3.5 stars but leaning towards the 4.
