Gets the job done
I bought this because I travel a ton for work and pleasure and needed a way to match office efficiency. I got this portable monitor because of a sale during Prime Day, a free 3-year warranty, and the monitor has a built in battery, which was rare for portable monitors in this price range. I've used the monitor for close to 2 months and have enjoyed the use of it so far. Here are my opinions: The battery life is decent. I can use the monitor without charging for 4 hours. I wish the battery was better, but the charging output is the same as my computer so it's easy to switch from charging my computer to charging my monitor so it's not a big deal. It is important to note that the charger that came with the monitor is short and is not suitable for computers or monitors as outlets are usually closer to the floor than the top of a desk/table. The monitor sleeve is also decent and serves as an okay stand so I bought a foldable portable stand for $15 so that problem is solved. The monitor came with an adapter so that I can connect to my computer, the adapter is pretty small and is just the right size for me and my work needs. I did, however, buy a second longer adapter just in case I need it. The monitor is touch screen, though it seemed somewhat buggy to me. This didn't really impact me because I don't care for touch screens on my monitors and I just turned it off. The visuals are good and functionality of the monitor are great. I utilize the monitor to use different software and mapping tools for work and there is no lag/delay and are visually similar to what you'd get on any office monitor. Consensus: The monitor gets the job done and for the discount/warranty I got, it was an excellent deal. I either bought or had several parts in hand to improve my experience with the monitor (charger, portable stand, etc). For the purpose that this monitor serves me, I am very pleased. However I recognize that there are substantially better portable monitors, but they all cost considerably more than this one. I would buy this monitor again, but only during a huge sale like Prime Day or Black Friday. The monitor is fine, but it's not so amazing that you have to buy this very second. Do what I did and wait for the next big Amazon sale.

Definately a top of the line portable display, even if I first received a lemon..
This review is for the touch/battery (AMT) model. When checking these reviews make certain you filter or at least pay attention to which monitor the review is for. This listing includes the base model (AC), battery (AP), and touch/battery (AMT) models depending on what style is selected, which makes filtering through reviews and questions/answers very confusing. The first monitor I received was Dead On Arrival, which made me quite skeptical. I reluctantly opted for a replacement instead of a refund and I am VERY glad I did. In the past I've owned the AC model, and the touch/battery is a huge upgrade. I've always been a fan of the pen stand and folio cover/stand; but my main complaint with the AC model was the brightness. The battery allows for MUCH more satisfying brightness, and the touch is very convenient. Additionally the optional mini-HDMI input allows connection to many more devices than previously possible. One huge benefit that is seldom mentioned to using the ASUS zenscreen over a different brand portable monitor is the graphics processing hardware inside. Usually, with integrated graphics on your computer you are limited to 2 additional displays. Because this display can do graphics processing on the device, this limit is not considered, and you can use this as a 3rd display, potentially even more than that if you have multiple of these screens and enough USB ports. I am very pleased with this screen, and my only concern is that it may stop working one day (like the defective unit I initially received); but only time will tell, and I only worry because of how much I enjoy this device.

Great Portable Monitor
I purchased the MB16AMT portable Asus monitor back in April of 2021. I was wanting an extra display that I could take with me to work, as sometimes I am stuck using a computer that I don't normally use and not all set-ups at my company have dual monitors, which I prefer. So, this monitor typically travels to and from work with me on a regular basis. I checked multiple portable monitors and eventually decided on Asus. Asus is a name I know, and the price was cheaper as the MB16AMT was on sale at the time. Pros: Screen size is great. At 15.6", it is comparable to most laptop screens, and desktop screens companies use. The 1080 resolution was great and definitely got the job done. It was basically a plug and play situation. I plugged in the power cable, connected ot via USB, and the computer recognized there was another display monitor. Cons: It could use to be a bit brighter, in my personal opinion. Some things can look muted compared to a normal computer monitor. If you choose to use the speakers on the monitor, they don't get very loud. Passable, but not loud enough to watch a video and not miss any dialogue or background noises . Overall Personal Review: It is great as just a secondary, even tertiary monitor for work if you want it. Plug and play makes it simple to use. You can probably find monitors a bit cheaper, that do the same things, but you are also paying for the name Asus. I utilize this for other things, such as connecting to my Samsung phones and using Samsung Dex. Paired with army Logitech MX Keys and Logitech Anywhere 2 mouse, I have my own personal PC experience anywhere on the go. I also have a Genki Covert Dock Mini I carry with me, along with my Switch OLED, which can give me the option to play Switch, utilizing my monitor. It can be a great thing to have if stuck in an airport or at the hospital for long periods of time. You can utilize it to play movies on it, great for wrangling little kids if you need them to sit down for a while. Whether you choose an Asus monitor, or any other portable monitor, they can be a great asset to your gadget collection! Don't have a gadget collection? If you think you could utilize the monitor like I suggested above, might be time to start your gadget collection!

The pricing for 15.6in touchscreens is all over the map, but this was an excellent choice for my purposes. I do some voiceover work in a soundbooth and I couldn't have a laptop fan affecting the vocal recordings, so I have my computer sit outside the booth and run the extension cable into my booth to use the screen as a teleprompter and control the recording software as well. The touch features work flawlessly and the brightness is very good (however, I am in a dark booth). As the reviews suggest, the control 'nub' (yes you heard me) is a little too stubby and hard to click up and down (unless you dig a fingernail into the edge and flick it). However, I will add that the software is quite good and one feature that I particularly like is that it can slave to the source and even draw power. So while, as a standalone, the battery appears to last maybe 8-10 hours, depending on usage. I slave mine to my laptop and so it stays powered up and I keep the laptop plugged in as well. So it could do my job pretty much non-stop. If you don't need the touch features on the screen, then this is unnecessary for you and not worth the added cost (I paid $560 for this one, but Asus has other non-touch screens 1/3 the cost). There are alot of options, even in the Asus family alone for touchscreens. It can get a little confusing. Some are refreshed models of another one. Others have a stylus, some have a stand built-in. If you don't need a stylus, don't require 4k resolution and are good with a $550 price tag, then I'd go this route. One last piece of advice, be sure to find one that has USB-C ports, as it's better for data transfer and smoother performance from the computer youre connected with.
