I like their simple, clean design, and the long piece that goes under the books to keep them in place and their height. They are heavy and smooth, and seem so well made. I'm using them for binders containing printouts from family tree research. I'm buying some more! Thanks, you guys that sell them— from another country (they included an enthusiastic message in the sweetest not-perfect English!)

The item works great. Tall and sturdy. However, one of the stand I received was very scratched up, like it was used.

These are the tallest and strongest bookends I've used. For my small business, I use cut cardboards and large cardboard envelopes to ship my prints, so they need to be stored vertically. These bookends keep them organized on my shelf so they're easily accessible. I have very little room to function, so these bookends are very helpful. I highly recommend them.

These bookends are very sturdy. The metal does not flex easily. I have several heavy and thick textbooks andhandbooks in Psychology. I especially like the taller height. I will probably get another set soon.

I have several heavy scientific books(10 books to be exact) that are about 1-2 inches thick and 13 inches in height. I was using heavy gemstones bookends and they kept sliding and damaging my books with every flop. So I wanted something heavy and simple looking. I really liked the heavy weight and the light padding on the bottom of these bookends. As you can see from the stock photo, they also have a bottom lip and for me, they meet each other with the dimensions of the books I have in between. I could definitely add more and still feel like they are properly supported.I knocked off one star because they arrived with a few chips and scratches from improper packaging. Since I have them placed where it’s not super obvious, I won’t bother with exchanging them as I prefer having them to not having them. I could probably repaint them later if it bothers me or the damage increases with wear and tear.

This basic standard white bookends hold many heavy books like the description says, stand well won’t shake, won’t slip.They work well, are inexpensive, durable and totally adequate for the job of holding books upright on a shelf or other surface. They also work well for a DVD collection. I like them very much!

The best, and most solid bookends I have ever used. They withstand the weight of large books without bending themselves or slipping.
