The Best from Amazon
I have a keffiyeh from Jordan I used as a sunshade on a kayaking trip recently and it worked so well that I wanted to get a few more of them. So I ordered three options from this website and can compare them all. This is by far the nicest of the scarfs I ordered. Aligning with the item description, it is marked made in Afghanistan. The hand on the material is noticeably softer and smoother than any of the other scarfs from Amazon. It's obvious they're using some combination of nicer cotton, and better brushing/finishing techniques than competitors. The unfinished edges are folded over and sewn with the tassels woven in, rather than just tied off from the loose threads. There are tassels attached to all four sides of the scarf. The evenness of the weave is impressive. The threads in the design have the same 'weight' throughout and there were fewer loose or stray threads than on other scarfs. I was somewhat taken aback at the price of this item, but after comparing it to cheaper options I can see why it commands the price it does. For the premium price, you're getting nicer fabric (something actually comfortable to wear) and better construction (folded and sewn edges, more even weave, fewer loose threads) that seems more likely to hold up to use and wear. If you're looking for a quality scarf, something to use more than just in a costume or as a one-time accessory, or to use in a more utilitarian manner, this is the best choice on amazon. If they had more color options in stock, I would buy another right now.

It’s the quality, y’all.
First off, these Shemagh’s are really well made. I started by just getting some regular, as I say now, ones from Amazon. They were low in cost, loose stitched, and held together by just the end knots. I assumed that was that. As I watched more videos on tying them I realized maybe I should try one a bit more in price. Oh boy was that the best decision. Let me say, these are extremely well made. By comparison, the stitching is much more robust, and distance between stitches is much tighter, along with well done seams so it remains tight. I don’t constantly feel like I am holding a piece of fabric that is going to fall apart, and more of a tool ready for action. Do they last? Well, so far I have carried one every day to either shade myself from the Texas sun, dip in water to make an extremely cool rag for the neck, or blotch sweat from my brow, even draping over my cameras to keep the direct sun off them, window covers for privacy, a place to relax in the grass, endless. They are insanely useful in so many different ways. There are ZERO signs of wear and they still look as great as they did the day I opened the package. I waited to do a review until I really dragged them. The final straw was doing literally just that, holding over the edge of a boat to wet them while at speed. This is a TON of resistance to the Shemagh and the corner I held as I draped it in the rushing water. No tears, no rips, still a beautiful perfect square of beyond soft fabric. Speaking of, if you have sensitivities to rough fabric, these are like Heaven. You may see some excess threads here and there out of place on the edges. This is no biggie and does not affect the hold of the seams or overall quality. I give them a slight pull and they either come out (excess from the stitching process) or they are connected to something (bunched up the fabric) at which point I cut them short and move on. Everything from coverage to tying as a sling for carrying items, these Shemagh’s are really a daily carry as their uses beyond the head are endless.

The best shemagh I’ve found on Amazon so far!
I’ve purchased a few of the cheaper shemaghs on Amazon, and they’re plenty fine. However, I expected there was better out there, and I was correct. Everything about this shemagh exceedingly surpasses the others I’ve tried. The fabric is soft and light, but has a strength to it. The weave is incredible; tight and nearly perfect throughout. And to boot, this thing is finished along all four edges. I’ve found it to be great for both warm and cold situations. After multiple uses across several configurations, the fabric, weave and edge finishes are holding up very well. I’m not saying this is the best there is, but I highly recommend, it’s worth the price.

Nice Keffiyeh
I've owned many shemagh. This is the best one I've ever had! The fabric soft and you can tell it's quality stitching. It's a little bit small. But better than a lot of shemagh. That's the biggest issue I've had. The black dye is very deep and hasn't faded after 1 year and lots of use.

The best shemagh I own
I have four different brands of shemagh, and this one is by far the best. It is soft and the weave is much finer than any of the others. Also, with other shemaghs, when I put them in the wash they pucker and are never the same, but this one comes out of the wash looking like it did when it was brand new. I've used it for everything from a simple scarf to a sleeping mask to a balaclava to a sun cape off the back of a baseball cap, and it works well for all of those. It is part of my permanent travel kit, I never go anywhere without it. The Texas Bushcraft shemagh on the right is OK for the (much cheaper) price, but you can easily see the difference in the quality of the weave on the Combat Flip Flops shemagh. If quality matters to you, get this one.

Don’t buy just one.
Combat flip flops has the best quality and it goes to a great cause. I can’t count how many of these I’ve bought from them but I like to toss one in my bag and one in my car. You never know when you’ll need one to keep you warm or keep the sun off of you. It washes well and the threads don’t come loose.

Updated review: Well worth the price and great customer service
This is a great shemagh for runners. I've been using it the past few early mornings now that it's colder and it's perfect. I can wear this tight or loose as the run progresses and when I don't need it, it's the perfect way to wipe away sweat from my face. The quality of the fabric is outstanding, feels great, and keeps me warm without suffocating me on my long runs. Originally, I wrote a negative review because out of the package, the scarf's fibers were pretty well fused from being compressed and it didn't expand to is full 44"x44" dimensions. I thought I was sent a small, rectangular scarf, but that wasn't the case. After some messages with the vendor and the scarf's fibers loosening up (probably from my sweat), I was able to unfurl it and use it the way it was intended. Top stars and I'm going to place another order.
