It would be nice if products like this provided more specific information. My (totally incorrect) assumption was that these glare blockers would be a greenish static-cling film. Well, they're not - they're actually an opague black film with a pattern of clear dots, to allow filtered light through. The description on Amazon doesn't state that, and you can't tell from the picture.Actually, they would probably work just fine if you buy these things to use as depicted - that is, stick them across the top of your windshield. Alas, what I was looking for was a moveable film that can be put anywhere, including directly in my field of vision - like the pilot's sunblockers from the olden days. And these won't work for that purpose - they obstruct your vision.More specifically, I was hoping I could use one on the inside of a motorcycle helmet visor. DEFINITELY NOT useable for that particular application. From a distance of 30" (let's say, from your eyes to the top of a windshield in a typical car), you can see fairly well through the Glare Blockers, particularly if they're kept above or to the side of where your eyes are focused. But put them across a helmet visor, and you may as well cover it with blackberry jelly, for all you're going to see.So I'm not going to give the product a total write-off. Shame on me for trying to repurpose it. But I AM saying that you shouldn't buy the Glare Blockers unless you intend to use them exactly as shown in the picture.

Ideal size without blocking your view
As of 3/2/25 I am testing this item. I drive a Jeep, and a common issue is the suns reflection on the hood. Currently, I have one of the 4 strips taped on the windshield so I can determine the correct placement before I remove the paper backing for it to cling to the window. The actual size of this strip appears to be perfect. Currently, I would recommend this item.

Works well if applied correctly
There are so many negative reviews here, but my experience has been very positive. I applied one of these to the center of my windshield, above the rear-view mirror, between the two sun visors. I put it up last fall, probably a good six months ago, and it has yet to fall down. (It did start to peel at one corner once, but I got it a little bit wet and stuck it back on the glass, and it has stayed up ever since.) I think the trick is to make sure you thoroughly wash down the inside of your windshield first, and then apply this product while the glass is still a little damp. The moisture seems to help it cling. As for the product itself, it works pretty well. It's mostly opaque, with a series of tiny holes cut it in. Thus, you can see thru it to a degree, but likewise, that allows a little bit of harsh sunlight to come thru as well. I would have preferred for the product to be darkly tinted, say 80% opaque, but without the cutaway pattern. That said - it is rather effective. My car, like many other newer cars, does not include a tinted/polarized strip across the top to help block the sun. (I don't understand why this once-standard feature is disappearing, unless it's to save the car manufacturers a few bucks.) Thus, even with both sun visors flipped down, I could get blinded by bright sunlight that hit right between them. This helps mitigate that quite a bit. I still get a little glare, but it's much, much more manageable.Bottom line, this product isn't perfect, but it does help a lot if correctly applied to the windshield, and for the price, it's worth the money.

Great product
These work great in my car to block the sun from areas that the visor can't reach. I'm only 5 ft so am affected by afternoon sun both on the front windshield and the driver's side window. Putting a strip in each area has made a huge difference. I recently ordered more to increase the coverage areas. Easy to cut to size and install or remove if needed. Great product.

Can’t get backing off
For some reason the backing is so stuck to this, I was unable to separate it from the cling window sheet. As I was trying to gently peel the backing, the actual cling sheet ripped a hole. I even tried wetting it down to get it off with no success. I have been unable to try this on my window and will be requesting a replacement. Hopefully this is just a fluke and the next one will be good. I’m disappointed because I was really looking forward to trying it after reading all the great reviews.Future improvement: It would help to have a better way to peel the backing off.
