Fantastic dvd series
Love the packaging, states what is on each disc. Doesn’t state what it is whether it’s full screen or wide screen people assume that it’s for widescreen.

Love this series!
Great to be able to relive this whole series over and over! My only disappointment with this season's box set is that it does not include the first episode of the crossover with Miami. I expected it to since season 9's set does include the one from Vegas and season 1 includes the "backdoor pilot" episode. Oh well, at least Miami is still on tv. There are some good special features on the individual discs instead of all being put together on one like season 1 is. Also, a few episodes have audio commentaries from various producers/writers so there's some nice tidbits thrown in about ad-libs, re-writes and such. Looking forward to adding more seasons to my collection as I'm still missing the middle few.

Sill a CSI Fan, but....
Why do good shows feel like that in order to be watched in successor seasons feel like they need to beef up their sexuality? CSI: NY will hit a string of shows every now and then that feel like every show has either a modeling-studio, or deals with prostitutes, or people going above and beyond PDA in public places. Granted, you are DEALING with the slums of NY, but I definitely know it's intentional in trying to sell with sex.CSI:NY has good story lines, and I like it's shows it's just I feel like season 2 is a leap into more sexuality that it really did extremely fine without. The raunchier scenes are perhaps fewer and farer between, so you're still more about the CSInvestigating itself, but still. I just felt like this was not as prevalent in season one, I could be wrong, and just didn't notice it.

This is a revised version of my review for CSI-NY Season 2 Part 1.------------------------------------------------------------------Season 2 is darker, MUCH more dramatic and vastly more exciting than season 1 - and Season 1 was, I believe, an excellent start for the 3rd CSI spin-off because it presented us with a much more interesting and believable set of characters.Having now seen the whole of season 2, I find it to be pretty well the best of all the CSI's so far - and that includes Las Vegas 1-6 and Miami 1-2. In this season, two of the CSI team find themselves under investigation for possible involvement in different crimes; one is fired, one is killed and another is .... well, you'll have to watch and see. (Opaque clue ... in those three events, only two CSI team-members are involved). As is a feature of all the CSI series, storylines and wrong-doers have a pleasing habit of unexpectedly re-appearing at irregular and unpredictable times. This is something we don't tend to find in UK series when events and storylines are often more linear. Or series such as 'Waking the Dead' start with the premise that something that happened long ago now needs to be re-investigated. In CSI, this isn't usually the case. Thus it is that several characters from previous storylines and/or Season 1 make a re-appearance during Season 2. There is also a cross-over with a CSI-Miami storyline and the consequent involvement of Horatio Cain. The characters of Mac and Stella and developed in much more depth and a new CSI fits in really well, even though signs of unease and strain start to show. Maybe that will be a thread that will be developed in Season 3?As you'd expect, there are murders and suspicious deaths of all sorts. So take my advice - don't just stop at Season 1 part 1, stretch to Part 2 as well. You'll need to anyway if you want to find out how one particular storyline is brought to an end - not to mention the mystery of how one CSI may or may not have been involved in a killing carried out by the Tanglewood Boys.Everyone who enjoys the various versions of CSI soon develops their own favourites. For the record, I feel that CSI-NY is far and away the strongest of them all with Gary Sinese producing a performance that draws out the best from all those who act with him as part of his team.Season 2 is a real winner.
