Our classmates bought nearly 40 sets of these brushes in 2019. Everyone likes this product as recommended by our Teacher Joshua Hough who teaches Chinese calligraphy and Chinese brush painting in Dallas, Richardson, and Plano, Texas. No one complains about the functions and quality. Teacher Hough has been using these three brushes to demonstrate different styles of Chinese calligraphy, and he said this is the best set for beginners and all levels except that when you need very unique and rare "Specialty Brushes" to do the styles that are not so frequently seen and practiced. I'm very happy with this product. I'm using it for my artwork with India ink to do back matte backgrounds.So far, the tip remains pointed, and I'm inking between tiny spaces in my pieces with relative ease.The handle is long, but it's not bothering me so much.No hairs have fallen off so far.Rinses and dries well, always maintaining the point.

These are a great deal for beginners. The large brush especially is a very versatile brush. If you are just starting medium large regular script or you want to experiment with Chinese painting, I recommend the large brush here for that. If you want to do very heavy calligraphy practice, this supplier sells higher quality brushes as well, but you have to pay a little more for those.

These brushes appear to be good quality. The handles are way to long and clumsy. Bristles are very soft and shed quite a bit.They arrived on time and in good condition.Would not purchase again.

These brushes are awesome! Bought to supplement my black velvet silver no. 16 brush. Comes to a great point, holds quite a bit of water and behave nicely. What a great way to experience these types of brushes without breaking the bank. Plus, the sizes are not extremely small or large.

I use these to apply slip, glaze, and liquid wax resist to my pottery. Works as well as more expensive brushes for a lower price. With the set of three you can dedicate one for waxing.

This is a great set of calligraphy brushes that exceeds my expectations. At such a reasonable price, you simply cannot find it in China. I’m going to order another set. See the attached photo. I wrote with the smallest brush.
