What is not to like about this item? Priced at £34.99 as at 20th October 2023 for a 7" tablet, albeit refurbished, it represents astonishing value for money and is indistinguishable from a brand new item.I use IOS products for much of what I do, so iMac, Pad and Phone. Are they good, yes they are and more importantly they work seamlessly together for 100% of what I routinely undertake. So why buy this item? The screen is nowhere near as good, nor is the sound, processor is pedestrian compared to the latest IOS products and storage is really dependant on the use of an SD card. When comparing the operating system, well Amazon with their cut down Android system is nowhere near as good and of course only offers Amazon's own proprietary apps unless you "jail break" it to access PlayStore, which I have no intention of doing.With all of this tech at my fingertips, why buy something which I can't integrate with IOS? Well to me, this tablet offers extraordinary value for a few years of use, particularly when travelling. Comparing to iPhone 15, iPad I have already stated how much better they are, but for use when travelling this Fire tablet offers me a larger screen than my iPhone (6.1") is both lighter and less bulky than my iPad, yet at the same time permits me to access email, web, social media, Skype etc etc etc, I can store it in a jacket pocket, rather than a bag too. No it isn't as fast, but the battery life is far better than my iPhone, despite the improved power options on the latest model, it is ideal for watching downloaded tv or films on the train, plane or coach and to be honest, if it were to be stolen it wouldn't really hit me that hard apart from losing some limited data and having to set up the replacement.So what are the drawbacks? Lots and lots if you take comparison, security being one where I believe my IOS devices are really good, however, I don't intend to undertake banking or anything else on this device, it will be for travel only, I doubt if I will use the inbuilt speakers, preferring headphones, the relatively slow processor isn't crucial when linked to reasonable wifi or for watching medium resolution films and most of all, I an getting all this for under £35.00 fully backed up by an Amazon warranty; which I think is second to none.I have purchased a few of these tablets since they were first released, 10" 8" 7" for family members with the one that this is replacing dating back to 19th June 2014. How can you fault that apart from the fact that it is incredibly slow now with increasingly bloated apps than when it was new. I couldn't say the same about IOS products, but that is another story.

Item was like new, no scratches or marks of any kind. Works perfectly. My son loves it.

I can highly recommend Amazon renewed. These items come spotless. I can't prove it but I suspect they are often not in the real sense "renewed". I think they are products that have been taken out of the box and for some reason returned.The Fire 11 itself is a bargain, fast and with a good screen, at a renewed price it is superb. Now comes my grouse.... Amazon, just let them have Google play store and then you will have a real winner on your hands. I mean, no Nationwide app, really?

This is identical to the brand new fire 7 tablet. So why not give it a go? Ours arrived pristine condition with all the basics, the only difference between this and a brand new one is the box. These new fire tab 7's are way faster than the old ones. Good to give to the kids or as a cheaper kindle.

Find abit complicated, android tablets are much easier.
