This thing is awesome. I've tried several styles, and I think this is by far the best. Very much worth the cost.Pros:• What a clever design! Some really smart person designed this .... It's very well made.• No annoying popcorn flying around the room that other air poppers have. The popcorn is contained in this popper.• Every time I've used it, every kernel pops and there is no burning. Perfect.Con:• None I can see.Other points:• Some people comment that there is no on/off button. That would not work well on this design. I just use an extension cord with a switch. Easy.• Some people comment that it's small. That baffles me. I don't feel like it's small. It holds a half-cup of kernels, so I guess it depends on what you are used to.

Finally an air popper that pops most if not all of the baby white kernels that are so much easier to chew and eat. I had to add a mesh strainer on the opening as the baby kernels are so light, they just come out of the popper without being popped. It was fun to see the kernels pop in front of me. I’ve had my old air popper for over 15 years, I just hope this one lasts as long.A few things I don’t love:There is no on/off button. I didn’t have one for my last air popper either.I wish there was a container to heat butter but I like to use olive oil as it is healthier. Luckily, I just put the old one on top and it heats it right up.The vent opening is not small enough that the kernel shells fly out everywhereHere is what I do love:Cord wraps around and the base fits compactly in the top. It takes up less space than my old popperIt is a cute light blue color :)

Since I couldn’t make up my mind between the DASH Turbo Pop 8-cup Popcorn Maker, and the PRESTO Poplite 8-cup Popcorn Machine, I purchased both.I added 2 tbsp. (140 kernels) of popcorn to both machines. As usual for most machines with an open chute, the DASH spewed unpopped kernels out of the hole the entire time. Some popped corn missed the bowl or popped while in the bowl and jumped out onto the counter.The PRESTO, with the bowl on top, caught every single popped kernel and every unpopped kernel rolled back down into the heating element.Out of the 140 kernels, the DASH left 54 unpopped kernels; the PRESTO left 2 unpopped kernels and NO MESS!!!

Works great, but you have to add flavors when it finish popping.

Got this for my Dad who lives popcorn but wanted something healthier than oily microwave packets or stovetop poppers. He uses it every day for a popcorn snack at his home office desk. It is compact, a fun color and works great! The popping vessel serves as a bowl and all of it cleans up and stores nicely. He has had it for a year now and it is still going strong with almost daily use! It pops all but one or two kernsls, is a great price and offers a healthier popcorn option.

I LOVE this popper. It does make a tiny bit of a mess (random popcorn shells and popcorn debris gets on the counter, but it's a very small amount and cleaned easily), but it's no where near as messy as the normal vertical pop-into-the-bowl style ones.Popcorn doesn't go anywhere except in the popper, and it gets 90% more kernels popped than other air poppers I've used, as long as you don't overfill it. My first bowl had 100% of kernels popped.Highly recommend!

I love this thing. The fact that it doesn’t have an on/off switch isn’t a big deal. I will admit, I did pack this back up the first time I used it because the popcorn was dry and did not taste good. I used a ton of salt and it didn’t help. I prefer to not use butter, just because of calories, even though buttered popcorn is delicious. Before buying this, I used a kettle and put in avocado oil and while it was good, I wanted a popcorn popper. To try to prevent the dryness of the popcorn, I decided to spray some oil on it, so I unpacked it again to see if oil would help. It worked perfectly. So for those saying it is dry, yes it is if you don’t add any oil to it… or butter if you prefer. I selected this popper because I like to have just a small bowl for myself. I don’t need 8 cups of popcorn for just me and this was the only one I could find that I could use 2 Tablespoons of popcorn, which makes about 2 cups, enough for me.
