I am reluctant to review an item so soon after buying, but I needed to share some info on installation. I could not find a review with installation directions anywhere on the net ,including in Amazon reviews or listing details, except directions for crossover boxes that attach to the bed rails. So my review will be one of the few sources for this info online The box is good, with a good lock and handle. Paint looks good Some reviews complain about how light it is. I view this as a plus, because it is easy to move around, while strong enough to do its job. The pneumatic rams that open the box are extremely strong--not necessarily a good thing. I sweated bullets and spent hours researching the best way to install it without bothering to look at the underside of the bed. When I did, I saw some 1/2" holes through the bed in just the right places. I could not see them because of the bed liner. I simply put the box in place, drilled a 17/64" hole through the bed liner which also marked the proper place to drill the box. Drilled the box. Used 1/4" bolts with fender washers. Used a nut with a plastic grabber so that I could fasten it by hand from underneath. That way, I can easily unbolt it.

This is a great storage box for the front of our Little Guy 5-Wide teardrop camper. I removed the camper's heavy shelf and replaced it with this box. I drilled through the box and into the steel trailer frame with some Hillman self-drilling screws from the local big box store. I used 6 screws and fender washers. It seems securely mounted and difficult for a thief to remove. The box is not very heavy, which is good for my light trailer. It latches securely and doesn't look like it should collect water when it rains. I'll probably add a strip of adhesive weather stripping to the inside of the lid though to make it even more water tight. I caulked around the bottom where the box meets the trailer frame with black DAP caulk. The lid springs open and stays open with it's hydraulic support. The side handles seem fine, but I won't need them since it's permanently mounted to my trailer. I plan to use the box for hauling bulky, lightweight, and dirty stuff on our camping trips - like wheel chocks, trailer tongue support wheel, small propane canisters, cable lock, extension cord, and some tire change tools.

Came with a small dent in the front cover (first picture). Disappointing because they took great care in packing. The box was slightly damaged in shipping, but where it was damaged did not align with the damage on the toolbox leading me to believe maybe it was damaged prior to shipping. It did not impact the functionality, and it was fairly insignificant based on how I mounted it. Other than that I am very pleased with the quality. The side handles are very nice. The overall construction and paint are very good and the top operates very well. I made a custom mount to mount this on the rear of my RV to hold all my sewer connection fittings and black water hoses. Gives me super easy access.

Certainly not heavy duty but I’m pleased with this tool box. Good price, decent quality.

Put this in the bed of my 2022 Colorado short bed. Fits perfectly under my rollup bed cover. I used 3 nutserts to bolt this down so I never needed to crawl under the truck. Just big enough for the important stuff. Not super HD, but perfect for my needs

Husband loves it! He bolted in the bed of his truck, He now has his trucks backseat and floor boards cleared, all the loose tools fit perfectly.

Misleading product descriptions need to be addressed. This item should be NOT described as "heavy duty". The lid won't stay closed. I've adjusted the latch several times and it continues to pop open when driving. Locking it does not help. I honestly can't believe I see positive reviews for this box. This box is fairly large, so you might be tempted to store large and potentially heavy items. However it is also super light weight and thin material. You certainly won't be able to lift it by the handles if it is loaded with anything but fluff. The carry handles barely support the box when it's empty. I purchased this with the intent to mount it on my car hauler trailer. I needed a place for chains, straps, winch, etc. Looking at it in person, I realized that I needed to beef it up. I constructed a steel cradle for under the box and I put a thick plywood floor inside the box. Even so, I worry about placing heavy items inside the box because the box will be destroyed if the contents shift. After adding weatherstrip material (not included), I am hoping the box will keep my stuff dry. In retrospect I should have purcahsed a steel box.

This toolbox is awesome. I used it in the back of my Jeep Wrangler. It has the hinge that automatically opens when you pop the lid. It’s sturdy. Definitely great measurement for a jeep Wrangler. Recommend. Love the look and practicality.
