HDMI Source to DisplayPort Monitor

Works perfect for my VR headset and gaming laptop. I bought this item because my gaming laptop does not have a display port. This did the trick! Been using it for years and its held up wonderfully

After trying a different one initially and it not working, or stuttering, I returned it and purchased this one instead. It's cheaper and works. So far it hasn't had a full test to see how the framerate goes, but I have had no issues.

I bought a BENFEI adapter previously and it worked brilliantly on 4K video converting HDMI from a DVR to the DisplayPort that the monitor required so, needing another I then bought this one. Strangely this one did not work at all on the monitor I wanted to use it with so, to check it was not dead I swapped it with the one I previously bought and, hey presto, it worked. I therefor suspected the monitor so I took the one I originally bought and plugged it into the other monitor and it worked. The other one had a wider flatter black box, and this one has a grey box. Obviously this one will only work with some combinations of equipment whereas the one with the black box appears to work with a wide range, if buying again I would pay the extra £3 or so for the black flat version rather than buy another one of these which were discounted. It all worked out OK as this seems so far to be working fine, but only on one combination.

It didn't do what I wanted it for

Got this to plug my Ps5 to my 1440 120hz monitor and it works perfectly, amazing product.

Works well for when you have an HDMI output and only a DisplayPort input. Even with the extra USB power lead connected, it could only manage UHD at 30Hz using Windows 10 Pro on my HP ProBook x360 435 G7 USB3 port and an Acer VG280K 28" UHD monitor.

Great little item it's been a while since I've been able to play my old PS2 on a modern TV. Unfortunately the internal pieces fell apart quite easily after being stored.

Does the job

Dieser Adapter von BENFEI war daher ein echter Lichtblick und eine positive Überraschung. + Funktioniert sofort und zuverlässig – keine Einrichtung nötig Der Adapter ist direkt einsatzbereit. Ich habe ihn mit einer PS5 und einem Windows-Laptop getestet – beide wurden ohne Probleme erkannt. Mein Monitor (DisplayPort-only) hat das Signal sofort angenommen, sogar in 4K bei 60 Hz. Auch bei Full-HD mit 165 Hz gab es keine Probleme – ideal für flüssiges Gaming oder anspruchsvolle Anwendungen. + Solide Verarbeitung & kompakte Bauweise Im Gegensatz zu vielen günstigeren Alternativen wirkt dieser Adapter gut verarbeitet. Das Gehäuse ist aus festem Kunststoff, die Anschlüsse sitzen stabil und nichts wackelt. Der Adapter ist zudem angenehm kompakt – ideal für unterwegs oder bei wenig Platz hinter dem Monitor. Kein klobiger Klotz, der andere Ports blockiert. + Kein zusätzlicher Stromanschluss nötig Was mir besonders gefällt: Im Gegensatz zu einigen anderen HDMI-zu-DP-Adaptern braucht dieser hier keinen separaten Stromanschluss. Kein extra USB-Kabel, keine zusätzliche Quelle – einfach einstecken und loslegen. Gerade wenn man unterwegs ist oder nicht noch mehr Kabelsalat möchte, ein echter Vorteil. – Kein Audio-Signal am Monitor Ein kleiner Hinweis: Wie bei fast allen HDMI-auf-DP-Adaptern wird das Tonsignal nicht über den DisplayPort übertragen. Das ist technisch bedingt und kein Nachteil des Produkts selbst – aber gut zu wissen. Ich nutze einfach die Audioausgabe direkt über das Quellgerät (z. B. Kopfhörer oder Bluetooth). Vergleich zu anderen Produkten: Ich hatte zuvor Adapter von „Rankie“ und „Cable Matters“ ausprobiert – beide funktionierten nur eingeschränkt oder nur mit externer Stromversorgung. Der BENFEI-Adapter ist der erste in dieser Preisklasse, der wirklich alle gängigen Auflösungen stabil und ohne Aussetzer überträgt – und das völlig plug-and-play. In puncto Zuverlässigkeit und Bildqualität liegt er für mich auf dem Niveau deutlich teurerer Markenprodukte. Fazit: Wer eine stabile und unkomplizierte Lösung sucht, um HDMI-Quellen mit einem DisplayPort-Monitor zu verbinden, liegt mit diesem Adapter goldrichtig. Er ist kompakt, gut verarbeitet, funktioniert einwandfrei und unterstützt moderne Auflösungen – und das ganz ohne zusätzlichen Stromanschluss. Ein kleines Technik-Tool, das genau das tut, was es soll.

Bought a Samsung oddessy g3 not long ago on one of these, praying it would let me get 120 fps without spending too much on an Hdmi 2.1monitor. Whoever made this, I love you because it actually works, just the same as a 2.0 monitor. Granted, it only works 120 at 1080p but that’s more than enough for me.
