Sharp, sturdy and adjustable
Worked great for cutting wiring tracks in flooring underlay. Sturdy unit with sharp blades. Easy to adjust width.

Perfect
Works perfectly! I was worried that adjusting the width to extremes would wind up with the blades facing away from or toward one another and that it would try to force a wedge pattern, but it did not. Works exactly as expected in all configurations.Makes nice wide strips as well as super tiny strips for pin-striping model kits.

Great for Polymer Clay
I made my own polymer clay strip cutter from 2 small tissue blades and little magnets. It worked pretty well. Now that I have this Excel strip cutter, I'm retiring my homemade cutter. This is easy to adjust and cuts much better than the old one. It's great for my purposes (a little expensive).

Saves time and improves accuracy
Just received this tool and used it to cut some masks for painting an HO scale caboose. Ordinarily I would use a ruler to measure the area to be masked, transfer measurements to masking tape, and cut with straight-edge and hobby knife, a difficult and often inaccurate procedure for these old eyes and shaky hands. Instead, I used the Dual Strip Cutter to measure the area directly, caliper-style, then simply free-handed the cut. Great results! Be sure to read product description for the range of widths that this tool can cut.

Not as Good as I Thought this would be.
Wanted to cut some quilt stencils but would not cut the plastic sheets I purchased even though they were not that thick. Will cut paper nicely but is not what I had purchased for. Think you have to purchase a special type of sheet if cutting stencils but when I researched found it to be too expensive. I ended up using golden threads quilting paper transferring the design by taping it to my stencil sheet and using my sewing machine with a jeans needle to transfer the design to the stencil sheet. Then I was able to use a fine blue water soluble pen to make dots though the stencil to transfer to the fabric. Could probably use pounce powder too but don't like the dust and mess it makes and design gets too easily dusted off.

An excellent product
An excellent addition to my modeling toolkit. With Tamiya tape, and my Excel parallel cutter, I was able to easily mask my F-106 nose. If only I'd had this tool ten years ago. My only hesitation is in the availability of the Excel #59 blades, Hobby Lobby doesn't seem to carry them in stock, so online ordering is my only option.

Many uses for this tool
This is a great cutter for people needing to cut strips that are absolutely even. I use it with polymer clay to cut strips to use as borders on my jewelry. Gone are the days of "eyeballing" the depth of the piece and getting it wrong. I use the little screw to set the width to exactly what I need and cut. What is also nice is that I can cut around some imperfections in my clay and the final strip will work as a straight strip to go around my pieces. Can't do that with a single blade. I am experimenting with using the strips to braid. Haven't perfected it yet!I have not used the tool with paper, but that should be next.
