Excellent product!
I ordered this product in spite of a couple of below-the-belt reviews. To be honest, one has to learn to use this tool as the skill does not come naturally. I have now tested this product, used it a few times and cannot recommend it more. If there were more than 5 stars, I would have given them. For those who have had a failed experience, I would suggest the following and see if it improves their experience, I am sure it will.1. Try spraying WD40 on the tip and wiping it clean before the first use, not only will this clean the surface off any dirt, it will also lubricate2. Strip only about an inch of wire to get a strong wrap, make sure the stripped end goes through the bottom hole and comes out through the side hole and stays into the grove along the rod3. Hold the unstripped wire firm with the other hand while twisting the tool, neither pulling nor pushing the tool onto the connector pin - let the tool do its job and it does it fine without a force4. If you are having to apply force to push the wire in or to twist the tool, you have an oversized gauge of wire4. Most importantly do not go below the recomended wire guage a thicker wire will need force, create friction, cause breakage and frustration : )As a guide for those who new to this , wire thickness is inversely proportional to guage number- lower the gauge number, thicker the wire!
