A Potty for Me!

Good for potty training preperation
Good potty training book although a lot of the language feels American (i.e. Diaper) so we change the words to familiar terms for our son.Our son was already using the potty wgen we got this book (though he wasn't out of nappies at nursery), and it's a story about a child who is a little nervous about using a potty so felt it wasn't something he could really relate to, but he seemed to enjoy the read non-the-less.

Brilliant book!
Brilliant book. Very simple vocabulary and lovely illustrations. My little girl wants to read it all the time. It's really helping with toilet training.

Potty training
I used this book to help get my little girl get started with her potty training and she loved it. The only issue I had with it was it was written for an American child. So I had to Remember to change the words mommy and diaper whilst reading it.

A book for me
I bought this book for my 2 years old son. The text is nice and fun. The kid in the book does not want to use the potty at first but then does it. It's bright, colorful and the pages are fun to flip. My son smiles when we read it. It's just to start getting him interested in potty training. One warning, the word diaper is used and not nappy but I just say nappy when I read it.

Good
Started us off on a Karen Katz journey - my daughter started reading this at 19 months, and we are just potty training now - it really gave her a good understanding of the process and she loved the book

Good concept, a bit American ;O)
This is a nice book to read with your child, it shows them the steps to potty training and that it is ok to not feel ready, want to go off and play and sometimes have a little accident. The only downside is the use of American grammer, meaning an English reader needs to change the words as you go along! i.e. diaperMy daughter enjoys lift the flap books, which this features as it makes her feel more involved.

Not peek-a-boo lift flaps
I was expecting the lift up flaps to be peek-a-boo style since that is how most books are, however the lift up flaps are actually lift up the entire page. As such this book doesn't really capture my 2yr old attention muchThe story is all about being scared of the potty then eventually being happy to use it. Not that great a plot since my child is not scared of the potty to begin with, so reading this to him is actually just telling him things he doesn't need to know.I have stopped reading it to him.

Not what I thought
Disappointing... I thought the 'lift the flap' meant a small section on each page to reveal a hidden image.Instead the whole page folds out to show a 3 page spread.I thought the story line was not entirely helpful, but my daughter seems to enjoy the bright colours and idea.
