Hello, this hand shower does not feature a pause button.

Q: Can the flow restrictor be removed?

We do not recommend removing the flow restrictor as it will void the warranty.

Q: How is the jet setting on this? I'm having trouble finding a jet setting that is a hard stream. Thanks

Jet setting is easy. There is a handle that you can move. You can even hear a click when it gets to one of the three settings. However, this product is not available in California because it uses more water. But you can certainly feel the jet pressure. Gives you a good massage.
