Well, they’re rocks. I combined them with two other bags of different sizes to fill in my fireplace under my electric logs. They look like black rocks, which was what I wanted. Oh, they do make a mess when installing them. Wear gloves and prepare to wipe the hearth after installation.

I thought the price point was good, size works for out portable fireplace. It’s not a small one, I would say medium. They should last awhile, not too lightweight. Puts out plenty of heat when they warm up.

These did the job for my fire table and look great. The rock sizes are large, as stated. If you need smaller pieces to fill in areas just smack a couple of pieces in the bag with a hammer and the breakup easily into multiple smaller pieces. Pretty simple. The only thing is, these are quite expensive for what they are, which is why I’m only giving it 4 stars.

Nice, I feel like I got what I paid for.

Grey, khaki, and reddish, but very few black ones in the bag. These will not work in my fireplace to simulate charcoal.

just lava rock nothing special

Worked perfectly in my gas fire pit. Just the right size.

Not round lava rocks - rickety and dusty. Was supposed to use in oven to create steam when baking bread. Returned.

It's hard to find anything wrong with this product, it's literally lava rock. I used them in my propane firepit to help radiate more heat, and they've worked well for that! They also look nice, so that's a plus!

It was return because it wasn’t the right size for my grill.

A lot of popping and some might hit you. Looks nice.

Quick delivery in an plain plastic bag. More of a dark grey than black. Not dusty, can be handled without gloves. Using them to prevent soil erosion at the end of downspout. During light rain the water drains down through the rocks into the soil. In heavy rain, the rapid water flow washes over the rocks onto the driveway, so they prevent the water from washing out the soil at the end of the splash block. About a third of the bag was used here. I didn't want smooth or light colored rocks for this use, so these lava rocks work great.
