Great knife
Just got the G10 handle s35vn version today. Very impressed with the design and quality of this knife. I wished it was 1/2 inch longer, but like everything else about it. Razor sharp! Sheath is great, a 100 times better than the crap that Benchmade provides. Will know better after using it in the field, my initial impression is that it should be great.

Worth Every Penny!
The value of this knife is incredible as compared to similar knives in this category, especially when considering the warranty! I really like the ergonomics and color of the handle (orange/black) and the blade length is just the right size. Overall, the knife is well balanced and fits my XL hand perfectly. IMHO, it’s worth every penny!

Hair shaving sharp, quality sheath, typical esee superior quality!
Bought the s35v version as a gift for someone; knife was so nice I immediately ordered one for myself. Handle has nice grip, blade can shave my arm with ease. Very nice blade profile. Can’t wait to use it.

Beautiful but not perfect
Not as great as the replaceable razor knives for skinning but it’s a great “all around” for if I could only carry one on a hunt. Have used on 2 white tail so far, a quick couple of strokes through the ceramic side of a field sharpener or a leather strop is all it’ll need for a long while. Knife itself is gorgeous and feels perfect in the hand. Spine is much thicker than I thought. Sheath is great. It’ll replace my esee 4 for hunts but I’ll keep the $40 razor blade knives at the skinning rack for the finer work.

An ESEE for hunting = no brainer
I’d been eyeing the AGK for a while, specifically in s35vn, because I’ve been wanting a quality fixed blade for hunting. I’ve been using the havalon for years, and still will, as well as the outdoor edge box of processing knives. Those work great and I’ve had no issues with your basic Midwest whitetail hunting where I can take a deer TO my tools. I wanted a dedicated knife for planned hunts out west where I’m not packing the kitchen sink with me.Love the handle ergos so far, the blade profile, and the overall balance. For photo reference, XL mechanix gloves fit me perfectly.I’ll do an update review Q4 of 2024 if I’m fortunate enough to use it on various game.

Carbon Version w/ Micarta is Great, S35VN Version w/ Brown Micarta Not So Much
I bought the 1095 version of the AGK with green micarta scales in 2021. It is a fantastic game knife and it's green micarta scales have great grip, but are a bit thin for my tastes. I recently bought the newly released S35V version of the AGK with the new contoured brown canvas micarta scales. While the S35V blade is perfect, the new contoured brown micarta scales are infused/covered in so much bonding agent they a far too slick to provide safe grip as a game knife, and still a bit on the thin side. I sent that version back and have ordered a S35V AGK with the orange/black G10 scales hoping it will be adequately grippy. If not, I guess I'll have to make my own micarta scales for it.
