Good quality. Works good in large and small areas.
It's not metal but the durability is good. It was easy to use and perfect for side yard of house. great spray distance. I only had to move it once for the side of the house. Worked well in smaller back yard as well. The adjustability is helpful. Oscillation worked flawlessly. Would recommend for a small form factor sprinkler at a decent price.

Great unit that works well but needs less plastic connections
Unit works great and love the different settings for the sprayer. Easy to use and easy to set up. Only thing that is not good is the water attachment. Because it's plastic, it's very finicky and unless you have it just right it leaks.

The customization is as endless as your backyard dreams
I was not quite sure what I wanted in a sprinkler, but I feel like this was the best purchase I made when we reseeded our yard. We have an "L"-shaped yard, so we needed either 2 sprinkler heads or one that could cover the entire area, which would have included the roof. This is extremely easy to install, it has a quick release valve on the base that means you screw in one end to the hose, and then it can rotate as needed without flipping the sprinkler head upside-down. The quality of the item is good, it hasn't broken yet, even though its gone a few rounds with one of the dogs having a good time. It is super easy to use and to move. Since the settings on the "length" and "width" have predefined positions, it means we could quickly switch from one side of the yard to the other without messing with the settings each time to make sure it was "just perfect", we just remembered the settings and switched before turning the hose back on. It does a great job of "sprinkling" ensuring a fairly even distribution of water across the desired area. I would definitely recommend this sprinkler, especially if you don't know exactly what you need.

Great for the yard
Works great and was easy to set up. Loved that it reached the entire lawn and has so many different settings you can choose. Seems pretty durable (the kids haven’t broken it yet).

Well thought through
I’ve bought expensive sprinklers and none of them last This think is cheap l, super easy to use, actually well thought out with a lot of flexibility in usage Only criticism is that where it connects to the hose can easily pop off Treat moving it delicately and you have an awesome and extremely cheap sprinkler

Favorite Sprinkler by Far!
I've had three of these, the Spike version. Unfortunately the spike can break and bend easily when inserting it into hard Earth. However, if your careful, using another spiked object to make a hole first, this sprinkler's spike works great too. Once installed it's absolutely perfect for about a year in the hot sun, and then the adjustment tabs rot / disintegrate from the sun's awesome power. Also the rubberized nozzle tips rot in the sun after about a year as well. But if you can get a sale around twenty bucks, it's well worth it. I use the narrow (straight up, vertical) pattern alongside my property line on the west, and adjust the east spray pattern out a bit to cover a part of my yard, it perfect for "strip" coverage! The spray shoots taller than the house and 30 to 40 feet out! Very impressive! I've read about quality issues with the non-Spike versions which simply don't exist in the Spike version. If I can keep these from sun damage they would last forever, perhaps I'll rub them down once a week with SPF-100 lotion :-)

A little plasticky, but very good for irregularly shaped spaces
Picked this up to keep my lawn green during weeks where we don't see rain here in Florida, mostly because of the promise of a highly adjustable watering pattern - I really didn't fancy the idea of watering the driveway or sidewalk and wanted to be able to easily water my lawn in sections. This sprinkler delivers on that front, with well-graduated adjustments for both the width and length of the pattern on top of being click-adjustable for direction and smooth oscillation between the ends you choose for sweep. Overall construction is mixed, with the tripod being fairly simple and sturdy and the sprinkler head itself feeling a little plasticky and cheap. Despite this, the sprinkler has performed flawlessly and I would still recommend it if you have a somewhat irregularly shaped lawn and don't want to waste water on places that don't need it.

Upon receiving the Melnor MiniMax, I immediately noticed a crack in the housing—before the product had even been used. Connecting it to a hose resulted in immediate leaking. This appears to be more than just an isolated defect; it points to a fundamental issue with material quality and manufacturing standards. The sprinkler is made from extremely brittle plastic, clearly unsuitable for prolonged outdoor use. For a product designed to function across multiple seasons, this is simply unacceptable. The material feels flimsy and lacks any sense of durability or resilience. Recommendation to the manufacturer: Strongly consider producing this unit from high-quality, UV-resistant plastic that can withstand long-term outdoor conditions. Sustainability should not only apply to water usage but to the product itself. Garden tools should last for generations—that is true sustainability. This experience has left me unwilling to purchase from this brand again.

I've written a review for the first one I got a few years ago. Very easy to use and as soon as I found out my pups had chewed on the first one, I ordered another. Very impressed.
