I really enjoy using this to press my coffee down. It’s very precise and leaves and very flat and tidy measure of coffee for making my espresso shots. It has a nice weight to it and feels nice in the hand. Made of lovely materials, and a quality wooden handle.

Just recently getting into espresso and seeing the sharp learning curve for a good extraction ‘justified’ my typical all-in approach and buy all the gear. My tamper that came with my Breville machine is adequate at best. But learning about how channelling and uneven tamps can impact extraction meant I was in need of a calibrated tamper. Obviously. All the gear and no idea. But still, I started down the rabbit hole and eventually decided on this model. Never heard of the brand. But I can tell you it is really well made, a decent weighty item that tamps perfectly. I mean I haven’t tested the 30lb calibrated pressure but I don’t think you can over compress the puck anyway so I’m not that concerned. It does a fantastic job; the tamps are perfectly level and fits my portafilter perfectly. The puck comes out cleanly and breaking it apart shows a very even compression. I honestly don’t know why you would spend any more money on another model; this one is perfect!

It's a heavy and thick tamper and it has a really nice feeling. Does its job well. I'm only giving 4 stars because the pictures show some numbers on the tamper and mine came without them. So in a way, I received something that was different from expected. I still like it and I will use it.

Well made on initial appearances with good solid weighty feel. Works on my sage machine perfectly, so I find the whole coffee preparing procedure much easier.

Although bit pricey, it's a well made product !
