Spicy, yet still flavorful, not too spicy, not overpowering. I don't use extra salt when I cook; but the vinegar taste makes up for low salt on my food. I have used this hot sauce since the late 80s, when"Uncle Steve's" changed their recipe from a bright, vinegar-y, flavor to a flat, can't taste the vinegar, spicy only recipe. Tabasco is too, too, spicy for me, so I tried "Crystal Louisiana Hot Sauce" & never looked back. I saw another review that claimed they found something in the bottle; that's why I decided to write one. In the over 40 years I've been using Crystal Hot Sauce, I have never been let down by the quality & freshness of this product. I wanted review readers to know that Crystal Hot Sauce is a good quality product. On an unrelated note, when I met my Son-in-law, he realized he had to double up on his hot sauce purchase because we both LOVE Crystal. *\(^~^)/*

For chili sauce without other flavorings, thickeners or chemical preservatives, it's Crystal or Tabasco, and Crystal tends to be a lot cheaper.

Love Crystal Hot Sauce, its so good on just about anyting. Perfect amount of heat and tang.

This is the BEST sauce!! I discovered this while in New Orleans. Several restaurants had this on the table and I just had to have some. They don’t sell this in my part of the country so I ordered some right away. This was at my house in 2 days and I’ll be ordering more so I always have a back up! Lots of great flavor with just the right amount of heat.

I was recommend this by a friend who knows I love Franks sauce, and she is from the South and suggested this one. I have to say the label is a bit of a turn off - I would have never picked this up in a store as it looks kinda cheap and generic. BUT I enjoyed it! Its a bit thinner than I like, and less heat and tang than Franks, but it's a nice alternative to my favorite.

Just enough heat and not too much! My new favorite hot sauce!

This sauce is SO good!!! Doesn’t have an overbearing vinegar flavor some sauces do.
