I turned 40 this year and I have really been diving into skincare to try and stop rapid again. I have combination skin with really dry and sometimes flaky skin on the perimeter of my face, and oily skin in my t-zone. I found I needed to use quite a few products to address both areas, and at times seemed overwhelming! When I had the opportunity to try this serum, I was excited, but I wasn’t expecting any miracles. I just hoped that maybe I’d be able to shave down a couple of products off of my routine. Was I ever surprised! My skin is much more glowy and has more of a “bounce” to it. (You forget about that natural bounce until it’s not always there anymore!) My skin’s overall texture is definitely smoother, and I can’t wait to see what happens in the next few weeks. The texture of the serum is just perfect. I hate wearing thick and sticky products at night where it feels like I am sticking to my pillow. This serum feels so light and dries down to a nice matte finish. The product list is also impressive. Impressive in that it’s not this huge laundry list of ingredients I can’t even begin to pronounce. I love a succinct and effective product list! As of today, this is the only serum I use at night along with my nighttime eye cream and moisturizer. That’s it! Just 3 products. And my skin looks better than when i was using 6! I rate this serum 5/5 and will definitely be repurchasing.

I use this at night after I use a micellular makeup remover/toner wipe. I wait until my face is dry then pump it into my hands, gently rub my hands together and then apply in an upward motion to my face with both hands. It is not greasy. It goes on very smoothly. I don't find that it stings. It dries (maybe "absorbs" is better) quickly and I feel, once it does, that my skin feels hydrated. I noticed my skin feels smooth and soft when I've used it. It didn't take long for me to feel like my skin was having a positive response to it - kind of like "rejuvinated" and "bright"....and it looked like my skin tone evened out. I mean, it's not a "miracle worker" but I have liked the results so far. Further, I do consider myself to have "sensitive skin," but I didn't have *any* negative reaction to it: no redness, no itchiness, no dryness/dry patches, no flakiness, I didn't breakout, etc. Overall, I would say it feels "luxurious" on my skin and I would recommend it to anyone who likes these types of serums. Actually, my (male) roommate enjoyed it, as well, and he's usually reluctant to try "girl things." The fact it's not pink and doesn't have little teddy bears or something obnoxious on the bottle is a boon...

I had a pretty solid night time routine when this gem was introduced to me. Applying it on a damp face with my fingers patting it in has increased the moisture in my skin. It leaves me feeling hydrated and restored without a slimy or still wet feel like a lot of other products. And there is no pilling like most niacinimide products! The only reason I gave it a 4 is bc the applicator is not the greatest, I feel like this should be in a pump or maybe a tube. Other than that, the serum is flawless. I will use this moving forward along with all my other products for nighttime care...and...its not crazy expensive so its truly a gem and a must have!

Dr. Behnam is my dermatologist for another issue. However, I’ve had this puffiness on my upper cheekbones that bothers me. They started showing up around 2018 or 2019. It’s hereditary because i noticed my mom have them when I was younger. Anyway, I’d gone to other doctors and they would tell me the reason I have them is because my cheekbones are so high that I’m losing column under my eye and it looks more apparent. Their resolution was to have fillers injected under my eye. I don’t want that and furthermore I noticed the puffiness would change in size often so I figured it had more to do with inflammation which I have a lot. So, I asked Dr. Behnam about this and he said to try this Gemma product. Can I tell you it works!!!! I have no puffiness on my cheekbones and my skin feels supple. I would totally recommend this product.

I really like this serum. I've been using it for about a month. I apply it after washing my face nighly. It has made my skin smoother and look brighter. I also like that there is no perfume in it. I was concerned about the Vitamin C effect because my skin reacted badly in the past. But this serum surprisingly did not give me any irritation or dry up my skin. The wrinkle between my eyebrows seems to be slightly softened too. The only drawback is the compact size of the bottle, potentially lasting only 2-3 months. However, this is outweighed by the freshness of the ingredients, making it a deliberate choice for optimal product quality. You should give it a try.
