Just what I wanted. I hope they will be protection against ticks when walking in the countryside!

Using them to kit me out in my old 1970’s military equipment for Airsoft play and had to shorten them a little but well pleased as originals are virtually non existent

Used to wear these in my army days ( late 1960 early 1970 ). They're probably more than double the length of those from that period but it's not a problem. Ideal for pants into wellies or hiking boots.

These puttees are extra long. So I've made an extra pair to wear when one pair is being washed. Just as I used to wear when I served in HM Forces during the 1970's.

Ignore the bit that says 145cm, this are more like 250 cm (to the end of the triangle, with a further 100 cm of tape). They are high leg puttees. The fabric is heavy felted wool, stiffer and less flexible than the more contour-following woven wool kind, but still well made. You will need to do twists in the wrap to get them to contour right, don't worry though, there's loads of YouTube tutorials. The colour is dark sackcloth brown with a noticeably lighter khaki green tape.

I used these during a recent bout of rain and snow. They worked better than gaiters and offered extra support and warmth for my legs. I watched a Youtube tutorial on proper wrapping and it was very easy.

If worn correctly(watch a tutorial on Youtube) these stay on for entire hikes. They make walking through wet and high grass super fun cause you are staying dry underneath. They keep your legs warm and protected against stinging stuff like thorns. 10/10 i will never go hiking without them!
