Simple and straightforward- perfect for the job
Great value. The assembly instructions could use some work and some additional pictures, but once it is assembled it's very easy to use and works exactly as you would hope. It's easily adjustable to whatever thickness you want to mill your slabs to, and it easily attaches to the chainsaw bar without marring. Overall, the product is very lightweight and sturdy, and though I have only used it for a couple of hours, I'm confident this will last for years.

Will get a lot of use!
Easy to assemble, included screwdriver and nut drivers that were needed. Very sturdy and light weight. Easy to work with, gives me some great cuts with little practice time. I think it is a great value for the money!

For heavyweights only-No returns
So, I was really excited for this actually. Instructions were a little eh, but I got it assembled easy enough. What I underestimated was the size of chainsaw needed to be of use with it. My 14inch bar is too narrow, which it does say 16-36. However my Dad’s chainsaws are much heftier, I could add a longer bar to his, but i can’t physically handle the weight of it even as is. So, I’d say be make sure you can comfortably handle a bigger chainsaw before adding this in without a rail system to carry it. It’s a really cool rig, but far more than I’m ready for, so I wanted to return it but that isn’t an option for some reason, which there’s no chemicals or batteries, so I’m not sure what’s up with that. Also it’s currently only like $40something now when I paid $85. So that’s a little obnoxious too. So the rig gets 5stars, the customer service loses one. I’d take more off of that if it wouldn’t do the rig a disservice.

This is a GREAT TOOL!!
I set this up originally on my electric chain saw.. It works really good.. You need to be a little mechanically minded to put the saw Mill together. TAKE YOUR TIME.. The quality of the mill seems to be top notch. Good hardware. Once you add the chainsaw. It's a little bit heavy. I'm 72 years old. I'm in pretty good shape. So it wasn't a big deal with the weight. You need something to support the log while you cut it.. I use some saw horses I built. It's takes some work and PATIENCE at first. I really, really like the results after getting to know the mill. I would highly recommend it to you. Like I said, you have to be HANDY WITH TOOLS.. I've cut juniper logs into slabs. Then I used my table saw to bring them to the right size.. So far I've cut slabs and made 7 cutting boards. See pics. It takes a little skill and PATIENCE. I'm sure you'll be happy with this saw Mill.

The delivery came promptly. The instructions were a little hard to follow, but anyone with any mechanical sense should have no trouble putting the mill together. After using it I would offer the following comments. First, a chainsaw mill requires a flat surface to ride on while making a cut. If you are milling a fresh-felled tree, you will need to buy an additional item to help you make the first cut. Second, chainsaw milling is hard work! That's not the mill's fault and this mill held up to the pushing and prodding required to get the cuts done. This is a durable piece of equipment. Third, the kit comes with wedges that hold open the cut and help the saw and will work smoothly.

Not as described
This didn't work as described, here's the thing, sure This chainsaw mill will work with a 16" or 18" saw. However, your saw needs to be 70CCs or hirer!! Any lower then 70 ccs and you'll be standing there all day cutting. So our 52Cc 18 inch saw, smh, works, but not well. And to put this thing together, smh, you better take an entire day off, just to put it together! There's over 100+pcs. And the directions, 😆, they might as well be in Chinese because the images, isn't the same as the item. And it's extremely hard to see how to put it together with their directions. I believe it would be a nicer saw mill, if you could use it with an affordable saw. Unfortunately not everyone can afford a 70Cc, $1100 chainsaw. Shoot most stores including lowes & home depot, doesn't even carry that large of a CC, u have to special order it, and then it starts at $1,350. So just think twice before purchasing, and read your CCs, it's under your handle on your chainsaw if you don't know your CCs. There's a tag right on the handle. Best of luck guys, wish I would have known this Information before purchasing, because I wouldn't have purchased it. Some false advertising here. Sure it works on a 18 inch saw..... smh such a lie...... only if.its above 70ccs!

Poorly machined nuts and bolts. Nuts welded on crooked on thrust end clamp.
Upon assembling the product that isn’t even an exact match of the instructions, I discovered multiple nuts and bolts that aren’t machined properly. The nuts welded to the thrust end clamp aren’t on straight so it puts stress on the bolt that connects to it. It takes a lot of torque to tighten this due to that and will probably cause the bolt to fail/break at some point. Apparently this item isn’t returnable on Amazon, so I guess I’m stuck with it. For the price, I didn’t expect perfect, but wow, this thing is rough. Of course there’s no phone number to contact with the product, but there is a email. No response yet. Will update if they make it right.

Awesome Chainsaw Mill!
This mill was extremely easy to assemble. It seemed sturdy and reliable after putting it together. I had to wait for winter to use it because I wanted to wait until the leaves had dropped and the undergrowth had all but disappeared. This mill does exactly as described, and we are very, very satisfied! Personally, I'd suggest purchasing a Ripper Chain for your chainsaw when using this, or any, mill. The cut it performs is so much nicer, and less blade markings on the lumber. Thanks again to the Stihls for a great product!
