A Brilliant Little Amp!!
Quick Update: On the Android side, the app has received a few updates since I wrote the review. The connect and control issue has been revised and now notifications popup as the app makes the required connection and takes control of the amp. It's great to see NU-X polish this system, I'm even more satisfied (if that's possible) than when I first grabbed this gem. The app and effects really shine and make the amp just an amazing platform. Grab one and see if you don't agree! Original Review: So you know where this review is coming from, I've been a professional guitarist and musician for over 30 years. I've owned many, many amps for stage gigs, studio work, and practice/warm-up. I snapped a pic of some of my gear for reference. That said, this little guy is a real joy to play on! With the Bluetooth app, this amp can be setup on all 3 channels to your liking, and it sounds fantastic! I had mediocre hopes for this amp, and bought it because it fit a niche need I have which is just pulling out one small unit to the living room to warm up, run scales, etc, and had some rhythm setup but in. Something I don't have to plug in, has built in effects, and most importantly, SOUNDS good!! This NU-X amp actually fits the bill perfectly and I am beside myself that I finally found a practice amp that has it all and sounds great, and it's only 3W! The Bluetooth app is really what brings it all together, though it can be used fine without it, using it takes the amp to a whole other level. The app brings full control over the amp and adds many features not available with the knobs, including backing tracks, fully adjustable chorus/phaser/noise gate/delay/reverb, and the ability to save your settings on all 3 channels (clean, OD, and Distortion). All from your phone (I'm using an Android for the app, it's also available for iPhone), the app is free on either platform. But what about the sound?? It's fantastic. Listen, you're not going to gig with it, or drive a cabinet of any size, but that's not what it's designed for. It is clear, punchy, crisp, and distinct on all channels. Spend some time setting up each channel in the app and it sounds fantastic. The drums? Very cool. Simple yet flexible, it's great as an add-in. There are about 10 drum samples to choose from (metal, pop, funk, rock, etc), and they can be adjusted for speed and volume. It can also be set to metronome, great for working on scales and technique. The backing tracks? Works GREAT!! There are about 20 tracks, some are backing tracks, some are artist tracks. The artists mostly seem like Asian guys, so don't expect to see your favorite artist in there, but the tracks are solid and of varying styles. You can loop repeat them, mix em up, etc. One little glitch I'll share here was when playing the backing tracks, they played at a low volume. After about 40 minutes of this I tried to adjust it using the tiny drum volume knob on the amp, and voila!! Volume!! The app pops up your system BT volume slider when selecting a backing tracks, but sliding it up did little to increase the volume until I gave the drum volume adjuster a tiny rotation. Not really a problem, it may save you a bit of frustration though. I haven't looked into adding backing tracks to the app, but I imagine if it's not obvious it's available or will become available. Once the amp is connected to your phone via BT you can use any app to play whatever tracks you like though so again, not broken, just perhaps an extra step to keep in mind. Something else to keep in mind (because the instructions don't cover it at all) is that, when first setting up the app and getting connected to the amp, I first had to go into my phone's BT settings and find the NUX MICRO MITE, then connect. Afterward, I was able to play the backing tracks but could NOT control the amp at all. I looked and could not find anything on this anywhere. In the app, the rightmost selection is "Settings" with a BT symbol. At first nothing showed up, then finally the amp appeared in there. I still had no control over the amp but could play the tracks. I has to actually SELECT the amp by touching it's listing in the app and it turned green. At that point I could control the amp and everything came to life. So after connecting Bluetooth to the amp the first time, just turn on the amp, then fire up the app. The app will prompt you to allow the app to turn on BT. Allow it, and it sets up correctly. For the power supply, unless they provided a small nuclear or hydrogen battery, it's got it all. A 9v adapter with barrel end is provided. It's got a micro USB connection right next to it. It's got a spot for 6 AA batteries. You can always get juice to this thing! For the money, this little guy sounds great, is extremely portable, is jam packed with useful and functional features that make it an incredible value for a warm-up/practice amp. I'm probably the harshest critic when it comes to amps, you can see this in the pic. Crazy enough, this little NU-X amp earns a spot in the line up. VERY ahead of the curve, you have to give this amp a shot. You will love it if you spend a little time setting it up and set your expectations correctly.

Great Amp For Overdriven Sounds…
I’m going to give this amp 5 stars, because the quality is very good, the sound quality is very good, and the app gives it a huge variety of sounds and effects. I wound up returning it because with the sound I wanted to do most, Soft Mellow Clean Jazz Guitar, 3 watts just wasn’t enough for adequate volume, even in a practice setting. In every other musical situation, like blues, rock, metal, etc, which require various levels of overdrive, it works very well, and the 3 watts is plenty in a practice setting. **BE SURE YOU GET THE APP!!!** The app for iOS or Android enables this amp to be extremely flexible; lots of different amp and IR models, lots of good modulation effects (tremolo, vibrato, chorus, flange, etc), and lots of very flexible reverbs and delays, all completely configurable. The App also lets you have control over the drum machine and backing tracks. Having this kind of variability and programmability is really handy, and I would have loved to keep the amp; for someone who spends a lot of time using the various overdrive sounds, I think it would be great.

Good Value, Fun to Use and Sounds Great.
Beginner guitar player here so practiced musicians have a far better trained ear than I do for tone and such all my playing sounds like drowning a cat. The amp and integration with the phone app (Android in my case) have worked flawlessly and are a lot of fun to play with. There is a software bug (could be my unit only) that causes the unit to supply reverb with the level at zero but only if it was powered on that way.. I have to turn the level up then back down to get it to turn off every time I fire up the amp. Really like the Bluetooth integration and find I use it as a BT speaker for my phone more than I expected.

Good practice amp with some issues
Purchased the MKII version for practice at home. Right out of the gate, I noticed that if you use the button on the top on the amp to cycle through presets, sometimes the gain shuts off. You then have to touch the gain knob for it to turn back on. There are some other small usability issues with the amp and the app that keep it in the average group. It appears the firmware has not been updated since 2023, so I assume we're going to have to live with these bugs. Same for the Windows app. The phone apps seem to get updates though. The sound is ok, not great. It is a 3" speaker, and for practice at home, it is good enough. Some folks in their reviews say that it sounds like a big amp, and to me, that's not accurate. The battery setup is also just ok. I purchased rechargeable lithium batteries to use with the amp and that added $20 to my cost. All in all, the amp is ok. I was hoping for sound more on par with my Spark Mini or Headrush speaker, and a better user experience, but as noted they didn't deliver. I've had similar experience with other NU-X products and maybe someday they will provide better support once a product ships. Until then, I'll use it for occasional home practice and it will fill that need reasonably well, but again, it's just an average piece of gear and IMO does not deserve a 4+ rating.

Very convenient to play, incredible sounds for such a small amp. Also love that I can Bluetooth my phone and play along with apps.

Sounds quite good for size and not too many options to confuse me. Set a couple of amps and forget it. Cool power supply included. Also, purchased Nux B2 wireless a must have for couch musicians.

Fantastic product. It's use surpasses it's price. Type c connectivity let's you record onto your daw or device. Great way to practice. Since it's 3w it's output won't be loud. But for individual practice nothing better out there. You can use the app to modify the output so you get distortion lead and clean tones from this. Just great

va benissimo per suonarci in casa (son solo 3 W) e poi con la app si possono scegliere diversi presets . insomma è un giochino che ti fa venire voglia di suonare perché è piccolo e leggero e no hai bisogno di altro (a parte la chitarra:) )
