A Beautiful Experience...
...and it started with a beautifully-made product, which feels and looks very expensive, packed for dispatch with admirable efficiency, care and attention.I am mainly a drinker of black coffee, but sometimes enjoy a lighter hot drink. My preference is for finest-quality Jasmin tea (made from leaves, of course - tea-bags simply will not do!) Yes, of course I can chuck a teaspoon-full of tea into a cup, add water, wait a few minutes, stir and hope for the best...but "doing it properly" is worth the effort!I'm afraid that I found the instructions on this website slightly confusing so here's my method:- Place a small teaspoon-full (not heaped) of leaves into the inner-"strainer"...obviously, you should experiment with the amount according to the strength (and type) of green tea you like; I prefer it weak (and without milk or sugar).- Boil water to just UNDER the point at which an electric kettle switches itself off.- Pour a small amount onto the leaves, wait just a few seconds then take out the strainer and pour away the water/tea in the cup.- Replace the strainer (now containing wet, hot tea leaves) and pour the full cup's worth of water in...do it slowly, or it might suddenly overspill!- Put the lid on the cup and leave for five minutes.- Remove the lid and SLOWLY (and for the same reason as before) withdraw the strainer so that the brewed tea/water spills gently back into the cup (get the idea?) It might be useful to do the complete process in the sink because at some point you're always going to get some small spillage.- Put the lid back on to keep the tea hot, remember to wipe the bottom of the cup (!) and "you're good to go".The general advice is NOT to use the dishwasher as -despite being well-built- this is a delicate product and it would be a shame to break or chip it (unlikely) or have some of the design fade over time (possible). The ever-present problem of tea-staining can be dealt with by soaking cup, strainer and lid overnight in bleach, which I do about once a month...but be sure to thoroughly wash any residue of bleach away...this cup is designed for superior green teas, not superior green bleach-tasting teas!!Reading back over what I have written, it does sound a bit of a faff, doesn't it? Well, NO it actually isn't, and YES it's well worth the effort...enjoy your tea!

So pleased with this. Well packed and stunning quality.
Beautiful and such great quality.I love having tea in my new cup.The size is perfect for me as it's bigger than a normal cup but smaller than a standard mug.Delicate, lovely pattern, sturdy and oriental-looking.Tea or coffee feels like a real treat having it served in this cup and opening the lid to release the smell is just divine :-)
