the stronger batter gives more torque.
So I got this for a friend. The cost was unbelievable so we had doubts about it, but I can say it works great. The battery charges fast and lasts long, is easy to use, good power too. I did not expect it to do the job, the size is great, easy to hold in hand.

Big, bulky and badass
A retired mechanic and so use to air tools. Hard to carry an air compressor so I purchased this for the name (yet it is nit what they use to be), price and reviews This was a major change for me as a air tool is quite lightweight and this is bulky and much heavier. I had to change all 20 of my old lug nuts with new and was gonna do 1 at a time. This had no problem. Reason I needed this as the tire shop overtorqued them. I struggled with the chincy jack handle and realized I needed to get my old torque wrench, anti seize and a new impact. This did the job. The low speed was good to run down with minimum torque. Fully charged before use and still gas all lights when battery was checked. The bag is kind of thin so I can see that getting worn with age quickly. The trigger action is variable like a air tool. One thing I had to get use to is when you release the trigger from full, it had a brushless delay unlike pneumatic tools. That was my only issue. Now I plan on getting a craftsman 3/8 relatchet that will accept the same battery (if possible, leave comment on model #if so) As I do a little tinkering for myself on cars. My ingersoll rand composite air is a jewel but that hose only goes so far and this impact fits in my trunk. The spare tools the manufacturers put in spare tire well are 1 time use junk and it is best to be prepared when needed. This fits that bill.

As good as Snap-On
I purchased all three of these impact drivers and have been very pleased. I work in the marine industry, so these are abused pretty well. The first two on the left are the 1/2" drivers and the far right is the 3/8" driver. All three are very good and worth the money. Much more affordable than Snap-On and work just as well. The largest 1/2" Craftsman (1000lbs of removal torque) driver is next to my $700 Snap-On air impact so you can the size difference. I use the 3/8" impact daily and it has been dropped, kicked, and heavily abused so far in the shop and has not failed. The bigger 1/2" came with two 4.0APH batteries and charger and the smaller 1/2" and 3/8" both came with a 2.0APH battery and chargers. All the batteries can be used in any of the tools.

Nice mid range high Torque impact.
Mainly use it to do passenger car repairs, honestly it's overkill for a sedan but it's nice knowing I can pop any bolt but the rustwelded ones in a single trigger pull. Cheaper than Dewalt just as reliable.would suggest for anyone who's a bit more advanced of a home mechanic. Also it'll drive any anchor that you can throw it at. Get yourself a nice lil drill attachment and you can skip getting a impact drill.

Torque monster
This is a great impact driver. I’ve used it for breaking lug nuts loose and it works great. Provides lots of torque.
