CARPURIDE W708 Wireless Carplay & Android Auto Car Stereo, Portable 7 Inch HD Touchscreen Car Radio Receiver with AirPlay Mirror Link,Bluetooth 5.0,Navigation,Siri,FM/AUX.(WP708)

I have a new car with all the carplay/Android Auto stuff, big screens etc, but I also have a 2003 car with an old standard size head unit, that plays CD's ! I thought this would be a great idea to bring that car up to date. I have an awkward dashboard shape and a very narrow windscreen, but the arm, suction cup and fixing plate have meant a perfect position is still possible. The product is good quality, functions 100% and does what it advertises. I found a balance between the head unit volume and the Carpuride volume, to get the best sound. If you go to max volume on the carpuride, you will get a bit of distortion, so leave that in the middle & then the head unit to control the volume. I have it through my sony head unit, good speakers and an active sub, all works really well. The big advantage for me is a big screen Waze map system rather than using my phone. I also have Amazon music, Spotify and a couple of other apps running perfectly with it. I would recommend, more importantly, i'll probably buy another one at some point, that says it all

This is fantastic for cars without Carplay and Android Auto. Very easy to install using the suction mount or the other mounting tools that they provide in the box. There is instructions inside to help you get started. It's totally wireless in operation which makes it a lot easier when getting into the car so you don't have to keep plugging and unplugging the cable. You can of course use the wired option if you desire. It uses the 12V cigarette lighter for power and boots up very fast. The onboard sound is pretty poor but you will mainly use the FM transmitter to tune into you car head unit for you cars main speaker which is very good.The only way to get firmware updates is contacting Carpuride via email or WhatsApp. For some reason they do not give a link through the website which I find bizarre.It works well when connected, I would mention that if you have Apple phone and Android phone in the car the Carpuride unit will always priorities Apple to connect each time. I would prefer the last device connected to be default but apparently that is not possible.With all that I would definitely recommend this product and it's made my driving much better with the use of Google map, Waze and spotify. I love it.

I don't write reviews very often, but I've been so pleased with this Carpuride W708 unit for running Android Auto from my phone that I thought on this occasion I would do. I had previously bought a cheap, unbranded Chinese unit which was awful - kept locking up or running slow, would often not connect properly, and then my newer Galaxy S22 phone couldn't connect to it at all! So I decided to try one of these Carpuride units instead, which are a bit more expensive, but goodness me what a difference! This unit is leagues ahead of my previous one. The phone connects instantly every time (and stays connected), the interface is always responsive and stable - It's just a well developed product with decent mature firmware running it. I've been so pleased with it I've even pulled the dash apart today to get at the Auxiliary audio port behind the stereo (18 year-old Honda Accord) so I can use its wired audio output instead of FM to the stereo, and that sounds amazing now too. All in all I can highly recommend this unit.

Does not have the full Android OS, so adding apps to the unit itself is a pain

Really easy to set up. Media hard drive has gone on my Peugeot (£1500 to fix). Bought this and stuck over sat nav. Needs a speaker (sound insufficient and car speakers linked to broken media hard drive) so put a mini speaker in the cup holder linked via a short aux cable. Excellent as I've now a sat nav plus music, won't act as a radio but can stream eg greatest hits. Google help works really well when asking for directions. Loses connection when idle so have to reconnect using Bluetooth... not big issue. Would really like to have a USB powerlead in addition to the very long lighter powerlead but could rewire if I wanted.I'm really happy, although my so thinks the setup is hilarious. I refuse to pay £1.5K for another electrical fault - the 2 area autoelectrians can't help, no idea what it'll be like when EVs come along.

This item arrived well packed in a very organised box.It’s very lightweight and super easy to connect to the pine, disappointed with the fact it only works with car lighter connection. So it’s not cordless. If you go to the gas station and turn off the engine the screen goes off to. I actually thought it could handle some battery.This device it’s actually more like a mirror of your mobile but with very low volume. However I fo think it’s possible to connect it with the car to send the sound to the car speakers but the car needs to have an AUX port. Some older car still not having that.The part of the map works good and makes your car feel more modern.I like it but need to have a bit more time with it to get to know how to work well with it.Probably will make a good device to show some videos for the little ones.

Great and easy solution to add Android auto to your car.. Setup is incredibly easy. You basically plug it in, turn it on and it’s ready to connect. The display is really nice and looks good. Playing music is easy and sounds good. This is really nice upgrade and everything works great. Definitely recommended.Also, the customer service is great. I have connected them through email and they are fast to respond and very helpful.

I bought this product and it’s so easy to set up like within 1 minute, the only challenge is the the clip is not really firm and it do jump off sometimes when I am driving on road with port holes .
