Seems to do the job!
There's really no way of me testing how well it filters out bacteria without some sort of testing kit, so I'm just going to hope that the manufacturer is being honest about their testing and assume that it's able to do what it claims. From what I've tested though, it seems to work just fine as far as functionality goes! You can drink through it no problem at all, either directly through the strap/filter, or by filling up the included pouch and drinking through attaching that to the filter. The instructions included aren't all that in depth, but it's simple enough to use that I don't think it matters all that much. It might be worth searching online for videos on how to correctly clean it though, since that might be less obvious.

Versatile water filter
Whether it’s for a foray into the back woods or stashing into a prepper kit, this is a simple lightweight water filter to keep you - or your digestive system out of trouble. There’s nothing worse than drinking out of the purest of glacial streams only to find a up turned goat in it 1/2 mile upstream. Yes you can boil up some water but that takes time and fuel. With a personal water you can slurp and go. The kit is very versatile use it as a simple straw, gravity filter, bottle filter or a tap filter (ideal for foreign holidays) the choice is yours! It comes with a handy stash bag, water pouch and instructions for use, cleaning and storage. It’s fairly inexpensive and has a long shelf life. Although I can’t test it it’s rated 0.01 micron and lasts 4000 litres so approximately £0.003 per litre of fresh water! The only down side is the instructions are a little basic but easy to follow but it has no moving parts but make sure it’s flushed and dried if using multiple times.

Great value
This is great value for a purification straw. Slightly bulkier than my Sawyer but good to have on hand as a backup. I like that it can be used as a gravity filter too.

Nice design
The company gives a very BOLD statement that it can produce "4000 litres of sewage into safe drinking water" simply by using this straw.Honestly I am not willing to try that product spec part out, There is no way to see what the filter inside the straw is made of, and the one on the end of the rubber tube looks very much like a bubble stone from a fish tank?I'm not saying that it won't work? but I am saying that the description of the product says that it uses a 3 stage cartridge filter to filter out "99.99% of water-borne bacteria" but it also says that the filter is carbon fibre? none of the product pictures show the "filter" so I am dubious as to whether this product will work as specified. And when you are potentially drinking water from a stream, river etc: that could have ANYTHING in it, you need to make sure that the product is fit for purpose.Honestly I can't say that it is, but I can't say that it isn't either. If it does do what it says then its amazing value for money, but I would need to test it with dirty water without drinking it first before saying that it can fully do what it is said to do.Pros -great sizenice designlightweightvarious carrying attachments, belt, lanyard, or stuffed in your backpackCons -Can't change the filterCan't see the filterThe tube looks like a fish tank bubble stoneFeels cheap.Would love to see a cut out image of the entire straw on the product page so you can see the actual filter media, cartridge etc.

3 stars but 4 if I could see the filter, good for water to be boiled.
It’s taken me a while to write this review as I ordered it just before Christmas to take on a overnight bike packing trip in early January. This filter straw is a bit larger than I expected but it’s still a convenient and storable size for a back pack or bike bag. It’s very adaptable and I like that it can be used as a gravity drop system to run water through from a tap if you’re unsure on the source of the tap water.I used this twice on my bike packing overnight trip, once to filter water from an out door tap on a farm (with farmers permission) to fill a kettle for boiling and making hot tea before bed.The second time was for drawing water from a stream to boil and cook some food with. Both times I used the water for boiling as there is no way to see what filter is used in the straw, the manufacturer says it’s a carbon filter and I have no reason to disbelieve the claim but when I can’t see for myself the filter I’m always cautious as it’s not worth the risk of drinking water that could contain trace elements of animal faeces or other nasties. It’s a good filter straw for the money and great for carrying around on my bike packing adventures, I’ll certainly use it again to filter water for boiling.I’m giving it 3 stars but if I could see the filter it would fill me with more confidence in the product and then it would be a 4 star rating.

Good to carry for all eventualities
This feels like a good idea to have with you on long treks, or foreign holidays, or as an emergency back up. It's easy enough to use. Comes with a carry bag for it all. It would be nice to see the filter and how it's working. Easy to carry around, light and compact. The instructions feel a little basic. You can find videos online on how to use these if you need to.

PERSONA WATER FILTER
Really useful to keep in a backpack if you go hiking or in the back of the car if you do a lot of countryside commuting! This straw can filter up to 4000l of water and in an emergency you can drink straight from the likes of a stream or river! I put this to the test with pond water and the water filtered through and come out crystal clear! There’s also a straw which can filter it into a little drinking bad too which is useful. Set at a very fair price and could be a lifesaver :)
