I had to buy a helmet since I bought a welder and I picked this one itself adjusted dims on the battery light for the lens it dims it's not too bad of a helmet for the price but you know what it's my first time welding so it was a helmet for me it's my needs it gets what the job done I like it so if you look something cheap and just wanting to get into something not too expensive but works for what you needed to do then this items for you don't be scared just purchase it and take care of it that's all you have to do

Got this for my son to use for welding, and he hasn’t had any complaints. He uses it all the time and mentioned that it’s not as good as a professional one, but for the price, it’s great. It darkens as it’s supposed to, and his eyes haven’t been burned.

When I was welding decades ago, it was just a flip helmet with a solid, fixed glass insert that had no adjustments. You positioned the electrode to be right on top of the point to be welded and then flipped your head down to swing the welding helmet into place over your eyes and then hope you were able to hold the electrode in place and not move while you tried to get the bead going. These are fantastic, easy to see everything, no shield to flip over your face at the last second, and they can be adjusted for speed, darkening intensity, and it goes dark in milliseconds to protect the eyes.

I don’t usually write reviews but this genuinely got me frustrated with it thing breaking twice. The dimming works just fine but the headband adjustment breaks too easy. The first one broke the 2nd day, got the replacement and it broke again. The headband adjuster doesn’t want to loosen as it should. Gets jammed up for no reason and then it breaks. Happened to me twice. This thing also hurts your head on the side where the adjustment knobs are, weather they’re tight or loose. Do yourself a favor and get a harbor freight helmet. Sorry Amazon seller but this thing is a trash…

Lens filter is fine. A touch sensitive to certain LED lights, but good protection and auto darkens quickly. The tensioning system and head strap are C&@>.. (expletive hidden). 3rd time I used it, it locked up and wouldn't expand or contract the circumference band. Took it apart and a shower of small plastic chunks fell out of the tensioning part. Will NEVER Buy from this source again!

I am a Journeyman welder and now retired but still do a lot of mig welding. For the money this is a fine helmet and better than what we had when I started 40 years ago ! Settings work fine and happy with the value for casual use. If I was welding full time I would buy the $ 150 model but for my use this is great value. Delivery was one time as well.

a decent welding helmet..ntohign special but not the cheap 10 dollar one you get in your store aka the basic helemt the darkening is a nice bonus and helps with teh glare of welding this was a decent buy i still use it but theyve gone down in price..good helmet for a beginner..
