Best cocktail cherries out there!!
I am an avid cocktail enthusiast and have researched and tasted every 'high end' cocktail cherry product out there. These are the BEST by a wide margin. Trust me.. These are WAY better than LUXARDO and way less expensive. They taste amazing and have great texture. This product will take your next Tom Collins or Manhattan to the next level. Because I am a nice guy, I will teach you how to make the best Manhattan out there: 2 1/4 oz Rittenhouse Rye (amazing high proof rye, very reasonably priced and perfect for the manhattan) 1 oz Carpano Antica Sweet Vermouth (this is the best! Do not cheap out on inferior product like martini & Rossi) you are making craft cocktails and you and your guests deserve the best! 2 healthy dashes BITTERCUBE Vanilla Cherry Bark bitters. As I said earlier, I know my cocktails and I know my bitters.. This brand is AMAZING.. U will pay more to get them, I have already told you if you want quality you need to spend. This combination of ingredients is top notch and will blow your mind. Combine all ingredients in a chilled mixing glass, (don't you DARE shake a manhattan EVER!) preferably one of the beautiful 'seamless' Japanese mixing glasses from Cocktail Kingdom. Add enough ice to reach about 3/4 up your mixing glass. Stir smoothly and briskly 40 revolutions. It will take about 12-15 seconds and don't skimp.. Rittenhouse is a bonded rye and high proof so you need the proper amount of dilution to make it taste best. Using a JULEP strainer, carefully and gently strain your cocktail into a chilled 6 oz. coupe glass, pouring over 1-2 delicious bada bing cherries and ENJOY! You will!!!

Best cocktail cherries ...period!
Although they are way more expensive, I had always purchased Woodfield Reserve Bourbon Cherries because the cherries were excellent and I particularly liked the more watery cherry juice they came as compared to the thick, sticky juice of every other brand ...until I found Bada Bing Cherries! The cherries in Bada Bing are delicious, always large and plump, and almost all have the stem attached (Woodfield has slipped a bit lately in plumpness and attached stems). Plus the cherry juice is exactly like Woodfield's. All that and anywhere from 2X to 2.5X less expensive on Amazon than Woodfield's! If you are looking for the best cocktail cherry, in a great juice, at a truly unbelievable price - try Bada Bing out, you will not be disappointed.

Rainier Reserve blew me away
I've been trying various maraschino cherries: Luxardo, Traverse City and of course the typical supermarket variety. Until now I liked Luxardo best. Until now. These Rainier Reserve cherries are unbelievably good. Most maraschino cherries taste like candy. These taste more like cherries. I kind of went out on a limb buying a four pack, but now I'm delighted to have a bunch of these babies. The natural yellow color adds uniqueness, but you almost can't see the cherry in a whiskey based cocktail like a Manhattan. You may or may not like this minor cosmetic element. Next time I'll get a variety pack. A variety pack would make an excellent gift for a cocktail enthusiast.

The best cherries for manhattans!
Ditch the maraschinos. The juice they are bottled in is a flavor enhancer for non alcoholic beverages too. I now buy two huge jars at a time.

Bada Bing is King
For an Old Fashioned cocktail, these are the best cherries to use (at least for the way I like an OF to taste). A bit pricey, but I skimp by using only one cherry and a tablespoon of the syrup. The syrup has a wonderful bing cherry flavor, and is not overly sweet - you can drink it like fruit juice. Using the Baba Bings, I have finally dialed-in on the "perfect" formula for an OF cocktail (for me). While the Bada Bings are the king of cocktail cherries, the OF is the king of cocktails, since there are so very many variables, and it can be mixed to accommodate so very many different tastes. (The variables include the bourbon, the bitters, amount of orange to use, cherries, type of sugar, mixing, etc., etc. - I could write a book about the OF cocktail!) I previously used Griottines cherries for my Old Fashioned cocktails, but they did not impart sufficient cherry flavor, and the syrup tastes like cough medicine. So I'm now a "Bada-Bing" guy.

Great for dessert, ok for drinks.
First off, I am picky about my drinks and I love manhattans. I will not use the dayglo maraschinos from a grocery store. These are not the dense, super sweet cherries from Italy. Alone, they taste better, so I'd give them five stars for eating, but I use them for drinks. Not quite enough body to cherry, and syrup too weak for drinks. Great product that would be perfect for fancy dessert, and better than average for drinks, but not quite up to Italian standards.

A terrific alternative to the marginal and typical maraschino cherry
Bada Bing cherries are a superb replacement for the overprocessed, too sweet and ugly colored standard maraschino cherry used to garnish mixed drinks. My favorite cherry, however, is the luxurious but expensive Italian import by Luxardo. With Bada Bings I have a "house" cherry for my daily Manhattan and I use the Luxardo for special guests and occasions. Bada Bings offer a very authentic cherry taste and the dark syrup contributes the necessary sweetening called for by the need for a maraschino. My grandson loves the Bada Bings and I offer him the privilege of enjoying them while visiting his family and mixing my Manhattans. The price paid for a case lot of Bada Bings is a bit over 20% of what I pay for Luxardos and is less than half the cost what typical liquor stores charge for one bottle. If you like mixed drinks requiring a maraschino and are uneasy with taking out a home equity loan to finance Luxardos, you'll find Bada Bings a very nice alternative.
