Because I knew I'll use these kind of bulky socks, I sized up on my snow boots and it made all the difference. I still think the ones I received are for children and not for grown ups. I'm not familiar with US sizes, but to give some perspective I'm size 36 EU. I wore these in -10 degrees and they kept me quite warm. Would definitely buy again, but a bigger size.
