Best shampoo for hair loss.
Been experiencing hair loss no other shampoos I have used is helping with slowing it down. This rice shampoo bar (on my 4th bar) not only do I see less hair in the shower, it helps soothe the scalp burning too. Micro regrowth so far but will continue to use this shampoo bar going forward. If you are experiencing hair loss from stress, lack of sleep & doctors are saying alopecia. I reccomend this product.

Is this a pure shampoo ?
It dries out the hair it has something as it makes a lather and I don’t think it’s totally a natural bar love the idea but I’ve used other rice bars and they realty don’t lather up like.

Good for short hair needing growth and body
I have short slightly unruly white/gray hair, curly in some places and straight in others. Go figure! I used my first bar up and tried 2 other brands. They weren't the same, and one even left hair so soft it made my hair flat. I need growth in a couple of areas and it seems thicker and less scalp showing overall. It leaves hair with a slight residue that, yes, builds up and dulls hair slightly. I will then wash hair with something else and start all over for a week or 2. I like that it gives light control - I can fluff and go - without having to spray or gel my hair with heavy products. I have since gone thru 2 more bars, and prefer it to thickening hair products, as it is lighter. I love packability too, no ounces to fly with. I also like the faint rice smell, very calm, and the mesh bag that acts to abrase the bar into suds.

Absolutely hated it upon first try
This bar shampoo stripped all my hair oil and somehow left behind a thickening waxy film at the same time. The build-up attracted lots of dust to settle in my hair and my hairbrush needed extra cleaning. I shampoo at the roots only, twice, before conditioning from mids to ends. With everything else about my hair routine staying the same except this new shampoo, my hair feels goopy when I run my hand through it. It doesn’t feel silky or smooth after being freshly washed and at the same time, feels dry and more staticky than normal. It’s very odd and I didn’t like it after trying it once. I’m also not a fan of the overly sweet, perfumey rice scent (ironic coming from an Asian who grew up on rice). I won’t be recommending this product to anyone. Now I’m left with a bar shampoo I won't use; it was a waste of $10.EDITED TO ADD: I usually wash my hair every 4 days or so, but my scalp became itchy and flaky within a day of using this bar shampoo. As an afterthought, it occurred to me this company is also not as eco-friendly as they claim. Sure, it cuts down on single-use plastic more than bottled shampoo, but this company decided to not only shrinkwrap the box packaging but also the bar shampoo inside the box. Like...why twice, let alone once?

Loved the Idea of a Shampoo Bar
I recently purchased these to take on a long trip. They were functional but I did not love them. It might have been the odd powdery scent or it could have been that my hair just didn't feel right to me. I really wanted to adore these. I will use them again with travel because they are very convenient, and I would not necessarily discourage anyone from purchasing them because rice water is great for hair and the company has nice ingredients. I'd say you would have to try it to decide your own thoughts.

YMMV, but I really hated the way this made my hair feel.
My favorite rice water shampoo is always out of stock, so I tried this one. I like the ingredients list, but I don't like what the oily components do to my hair. My hair is thick, fine, and wavy. This stuff took the wave completely out and made it feel very heavy. And like it would attract and hold dirt. This might not be an issue for people who style their hair, but I just wash mine everyday and let it do whatever it wants to do. What it did with this shampoo was feel and look heavy and potentially dirty. I don't use rice water shampoo to thicken my hair, I use it because every other kind except this that I have tried makes it feel the way I like it to feel. What I might try is shampooing with this as a deep conditioner and then doing a second shampoo with something else to strip out some of the oily components. Just so this bar won't go completely to waste. I'm torn between taking that trouble and just throwing it out.I can picture that this might work well for some types of hair and some people's goals. It just doesn't for mine.I was going to give it one star, based on my hair only, but I'm going to raise it to two because the ingredients seem pretty good and it doesn't smell too strong like some other alternative rice water shampoo bars I have tried.
