I bought these to help with algae growth in my chicken waterers. They are solid and larger than I expected. They must be pure copper because they are definitely helping tremendously with the algae growth.

Put these in a 10 gallon bucket of water, and it has helped with keeping the water cleaner.

Seems ok for what I need. I work in press die tooling and sometimes you need to hit something with a 10mm diameter copper rod. It has a good weight to it which is about right for copper.
