well made and sturdy but not very effective
It is incredibly easy to use, simple to understand how to refill and made out of durable stainless steel, however, it is incredibly slow to grind pepper and I find myself pushing the button many many times trying to get only a small amount of pepper out of it. I believe the issue is in the grinding mechanism. It has a funnel which allows the peppercorns to fall down to the bottom and an abrasive piston running through the middle which is made to grind the peppercorns and let the ground pepper fall down between the gap. It could be that the gap is too small or that the funnel is too smooth and allows the peppercorns to turn rather than grind when the abrasion rod moves. I might try drilling the hole out another mm with a drill press and roughing up the surface of the funnel to see if that helps.

Not a necessary tool!
Fot the price of this item i would say: waste of money. I'd been using it in my kitchen, but not very excited. I would even say: useless tool. For this amount of money you can easily find much better quality and performance grinder in Home Goods or TJMaxx stores. This one is not that easy to use and it produces grinded pepper in very small quantities. Not worth of purchase! But looks cute , especially its box (LOL)

Looks sharp, super easy to use
This looks super classy and is more space efficient than a lot of pepper grinders, not to mention super easy to use. It was able to grind even with only a tiny amount left inside and worked very smoothly.

I bought this to replace a similar one that I had purchased from Williams-Sonoma. The look is almost identical, the quality , not so much. The mechanism that actually does the grind is so coarse that you can barely push the plunger. After a month or two of use, the outer barrel of the grinder became detached, and just slides up and down when you try to push the plunger. It's almost unusable at this point.

Push button Grinder
This stainless steel grinder looks classy and is easy to use with one hand. Very easy to fill in great to use while cooking so you have an extra hand free; great concept. Only negative I can find is I wish It had an adjustment so you could make the grind coarser or finer; the default grind is relatively fine.

This thing is small but it is a beast. It will last forever. I like that I can just pound on it a couple of times and have an adequate amount of fresh ground pepper added to my food. If you are a foodie and appreciate the taste of freshly ground pepper this is a good purchase.

Best grinder mechanism available
This is my second purchase of one of these. It is hands down the best mechanism for grinding peppercorns. the grinding shaft forces the kernels down, so none of the problems you typically have with turning grinders where it is sometimes hard for the grinder to grab kernels. the only weak part is the see through portion the plastic threads broke on my first one. Even so, it works so much better, I'll keep buying them anyway.

Hard to use, but pretty to look at
The button is very sticky and you don't get much from each press. I bought this for my mother who loves fresh pepper but due to a bad wrist can't twist a regular grinder.The product is small, light weight, and very shinny. But the silver band moves when you try to push the button, the button sticks, and you end up spending ten minutes trying to get the right amount of pepper.So it's a good gift item and looks fancy for big events but isn't practical for daily use or for people who enjoy a lot of pepper on their food.Works better on salt but not by much.

Good quality
These shakers are excellent. Very satisfying to hit the button and release the salt. Occasionally they do fall over but I haven't found it to be a problem.

Does not work very well as it does not grind the pepper as expected. The metal sleeve around it comes off.

It does not crush the pepper properly and takes a lot of time to do so , considering this the price should is high .
