Is the product tested for heavy metals? If so, where can I find the results?

Our manufacturing facility is registered with the FDA and compliant with the Code of Federal Regulations (CFR) Part 111. In addition, the facility is certified organic and cGMP compliant. We follow NSF International guidelines for heavy metal testing in our finished products. While we do not publish lab results, our products exceed all NSF safety standards for heavy metals. We have been sourcing Ceylon cinnamon from the same group of organic farmers, in Sri Lanka, for almost a decade and have never had a problem with heavy metals. For consumer confidence, we also test each batch for coumarin content which can be a bigger safety issue with cinnamon products. There should be virtually no coumarin in real Ceylon cinnamon products. However, ConsumerLab.com recently published a report (December 2020) showing some products labeled as Ceylon contain high levels of coumarin which can be toxic. Their report implies that products labeled as Ceylon may contain a variety of cassia cinnamon. Cassia is less expensive and it is common to find Korintje and Saigon cinnamon labeled as Ceylon.

Seller: your cinnamon capsules contain 500mg. What is the volumetric equivalent of 500mg -- assuming that I would scoop same am't. out of this jar?

A full 1/4 teaspoon scoop (mounded) would be roughly equivalent to 1 capsule (500 mg weight) of our Ceylon cinnamon powder. Ceylon cinnamon is lighter (less dense) than cassia cinnamon. The same size capsule of cassia cinnamon would weight approximately 600 mg.
