Connects Firewire 400 to Firewire 800 without a problem
We had 2 old external Firewire 400 Drives and needed to connect them to a Mac Mini with a Firewire 800 port. Plugged into the Mini and external drives and they work perfectly.

Works a treat. Ideal for older iPods on Mac systems, specifically 1st/2nd/3rd generation. Syncs and charges perfectly. Great connectivity all round and definitely value for money.

The most recent Firewire 400 to 800 cable that I bought from Hasselblad didn't fit into the Phase One P45+ digital back, but this solved the problem. Not ideal, but it works great - so 5 Stars.
