I purchased this to replace my single flap, smaller dog door that I had. It comes with all necessary hardware, template and instructions to install. Very easy to install for anyone who is familiar and comfortable using power tools and doing DIY projects. If you aren't comfortable, I recommend hiring a contractor to install so you don't damage your door.

This door is large but our dog is getting old and was having trouble getting through the large opening. This extra large door did the trick and was no harder to install than the smaller one, just a bigger opening.

Very sturdy and heavy duty, the only problem I have found is that the flaps get discolored very easily and even if you clean it they don’t come clean.

This is a nice, very large door but we bought it specifically because it said it would fit a 3/4 inch door. The frame fits but the screws are a half inch too long and will not pull both sides of the frame tight. Luckily my husband is handy and was able to cut them down to fit. Also the template makes the hole a half inch too long so it has a lot of play when trying to match up the screw holes. Otherwise not horrible to install.

Wasn’t too bad to install out of the four dogs three of them figured out how to use it. Wife loves it because now I don’t have to leave the back door open. This is a great investment to let my animals roam free in the back pasture you’re driving my wife nuts in the house with opening and closing the door.

Great size for our very large dogs

I have had this door for about a month now and so far so good !!! I have three Labrador retrievers (one of which is 125lbs and pretty chunky) they are all easily able to get in and out of the house through this door which has been a game changer for me working 12hrs a day.One of my dogs is what I like to call a "Bull Moose;" he never does anything graciously. This door has probably been used by the 3 of them about 6-7 times daily and is holding up really well (even with the one who loves to plow right through it).We are coming up on the winter months here pretty soon; however, it has been in the low 50's and even high 40's the last few nights and I have not noticed a temperature change in my house whatsoever.Lastly, this door was super easily to install with the right tools!Definitely would recommend this door to anyone looking to purchase a dog door.

We are very happy with this new dog door. It is really well made. I was surprised at how heavy it is. It’s really heavy duty. I read most of the installation complaints so I was ready to watch out for those problems. We cut the large opening first and then held the inner side of the dog door in place. Then using the smaller drill bit we drilled a starter hole for all 8 of the bolts. Then we removed that side of the dog door and using the larger drill bit we just drilled all 8 of the holes through - making sure the drill bit was level. My door is a hollow core metal door and a couple of the bolts were hard to get started in the inner dog door but we got them all in place and the door is totally secure.One of the other problems some people had was with their dog being hesitant to go through both of the flaps. Compared to our old dog door with just one light weight flap - these 2 flaps are larger and heavier. My dog is older now and I needed to put this larger door in for her because she now has vertigo and is unsteady on her feet. We put this dog door in so it is 4 inches from the bottom of the door so she can just easily step through. She couldn’t get through both of the flaps so we just removed the inner flap - and leaving the outer flap in place to keep the rain out. It just took a couple of tries but She’s easily going in and out as she wants now so I am Extremely Happy with this new dog door.
