Honestly, was shocked at the quality vs. price on this unit. It’s the strongest and most sturdy take down rod I have ever seen. The reel is excellent as well and it comes with an extra spool. I took it to Bass Pro to get it spooled and the old guy helping me, literally took down the name and info. and said it was much better than anything they sold in that category, and could not believe the price. Just got to Greece with it, and it traveled beautifully in my small backpack. I plan on using it today, and it will be perfect for the semi-light in-shore fishing I plan to do. I liked it so much I bought my son in law one who will be meeting us soon. Thanks Rigged and Ready, and Amazon for having it.

Have not fished with it yet but seems like a great combo and feels very nice I would say it’s a medium power but a bit flimsy seems like a solid combo think it’s going to be great for only $100 and very portable I’m able to fit a small bag of soft plastics with a little tackle box with weights and a pair of pliers all in the bag it comes in with some wiggle room.

Avid fly and spin guy. I wanted a solution to not schlep my rods and reels to far north Ontario. I have been eyeing this for a while and decided to pull the trigger.Super lightweight combo with good medium action. Not medium/heavy. I am impressed with the real. Loaded it with braid and then a floro leader. Very impressed with it for the price. I have all Daiwa reels (salt and fresh) and this is a great reel.Caught 10 nice pike 6-8 pounds with no issues as well as a mess of walleye. I am very interested in how the fly reel performs as that is my go to style of fishing.The ONLY downside that I can say is that after a fight with a fish some of the sections of the pole pull up a little, which is concerning and can cause issues. You can guess what they are.

This is a unique little travel spinning rod/reel combo from a British company. I just returned from a trip to Costa Rica and used it to fish from the beach. It performed superbly! A delight to handle, nimble and responsive yet powerful and I caught enough fish over 4 days to feed the family amply, including a 5lb snapper and a 6lb Jack. I spent a long time researching travel spinning rods and tried out a couple of the telescopic ones from other companies which felt a little cheap. This rod from Rigged and Ready is really well made and sturdy, and the owner of the company is very responsive to questions. A pleasure to deal with. In fact, I'm going to get the heavy weight rod too when it becomes available in the US. So, if you are looking for a travel rod, or just one to have handy in the car, I highly recommend this one.

The durability of this pole if you're going to use it for traveling is not good it will break it broke the very first time I used it I caught a fish that maybe weighed 2 kilo and the tip broke no problems with the return they took it back but why buy something if it's going to break right away

I was very happy with this rod and reel combo. I own alot of rods and reels but wanted a simple travel combo that broke down small enough to throw in my luggage. I swapped the line with 30 lb braid. The rod has a decent backbone while having a quick tip for sensitivity but enough strength for drag ripping hard hook sets. I took it on a trip to Mexico and Belize and managed to shore fish and catch Jack chevelle, tarpon, bone fish, barracuda, snapper and lady fish. Biggest fish around a 22lb Tarpon. Trout sensitivity with hardy salt water fish strength.

Great travel rod that easily fits in your carry on bag or to keep in your vehicle. Customer support is also top notch, had a bad snag and snapped a section of the rod and was sent the spare part plus extras for only the cost of shipping!
