ARBORTECH Contour Sander 50mm/2Inch M14 x M5, Mini Random Orbit Sander Attachment for Angle Grinder

This mini sander sounded just what i was looking for but after reading some of the reviews i began to have doubts, I have the Arbortech ball gouge and i`m v pleased with it so i decided to give the sander a go. I have to say i am really pleased with the results ( see photos ) This tool, like the ball gouge has been well thought out and engineered to a high standard. Arbortech tools may seem expensive but they are well worth it and will save hours of hand work. I highly recommend the tried and test ball gouge and mini contour sander.

A must have if contours need sanding.

Not used it yet but I think it will be as good as all the arbrotech tool.

This would be a great tool if the disks stuck to the pad: they don’t. Instead you need to screw the disk to the pad which is fiddly and time consuming. It does do quite a good job at sanding bowls but it is a faff.

The jury is still out on this one for me. It’s fiddly and the I haven’t worked out how to source the adhesive discs yet. It works OK but it’s not exciting me like the turbo plane. I’ve used it several times and will use it, just not sure how much. In terms of value it’s not high. UPDATE 2 years on. This sander has saved me a load of time and really does work. I am more convinced and upgrade a star to 4*. It still is a fiddle change the pads and they are expensive to replace

The sanding disk do not stick to the pad thay come off as you start sanding

La tête de ponçage est laissé libre par un roulement. Peu importe la vitesse de votre machine la tête de ponçage ne tourne donc pas. Je peux carrément poser mon doigt sur la tête avec la machine en fonctionnement, la tête reste totalement libre et donc s'arrete dés qu'elle entre en contact avec une surface.

This has really improved my sanding capabilities and the results on my turned wood pieces. Personally, I bought other sanding discs and put adhesive velcro on the circular pad. Just was not wild about the screw and rubber grommet thing in the middle of the sanding disc. It works great and I am happy with the attachment and the changes I made with the velcro.

Arbortech è ormai una delle marche secondo me più affidabile per questo genere di oggetti, e questo accessorio non è da meno. Lo consiglio vivamente chi cerca un random sander di queste dimensioni ridotte, promosso a pieni voti!
