Outdoor Fan Mist Cooling System Kit for Patio, Garden Greenhouse Misting Line, 4 Metal Mist Nozzles, Adapter(3/4") Outdoor Mister (Black)

With the temps over 100 degrees for weeks in the forecast, and knowing from last year my 1.5 Ton AC unit ran non-stop from Noon to Midnight to keep the house at 78 degrees, I ordered this fan kit, to install as an evaporative cooler for my central AC. Prior to install, the AC was drawing 7.9 amps. and the vent air temp was 62 degrees. After mounting this on my AC unit to mist air around my coils, which the fan inhaled, the amp draw dropped to 7.0 amps, and the vent air dropped to 59 degrees. The AC also started cycling again even when it was 102 outside. I only ran it when the temp reached 95 or higher, since I didnt want to waste water or subject the coils to clogging from water deposits, but for the money it saved in electricity, and the load it took off the compressor, it was well worth the money. Next year I plan to buy a 120v continuous duty inlet valve and run the power for it off the compressor relay to turn the water on and off with the AC unit. I also plan to install a descaling filter to the water inlet.

This product is versatile. I have used on the fan and then even for the dog/chicken kennel. Wrap around the wire of kennel and keep the flock cool during hot summers. Lightweight, easy to use.

So in the heat of the sunny day, this works great. The mist almost immediately evaporates and is nice and cooling. When the sun goes down and it's still hot and humid (Texas here) a layer of water can build up as the mist isn't quite fine enough to evaporate fast enough. With that said, this is still a godsend and I am happy to have it, and it is inexpensive to boot.

I used it for a fan but the mist are not working. They felt out and didn't wanna get back in place. A total dislike

This thing is perfect. I zip-tied it to a pretty powerful fan and it sent cooling mist all over my deck.

I’ll start with what I liked about the BUNYUM outdoor fan mist cooling system. It did put out a decent amount of cooling mist which covered the entire area that the fan itself was able to reach. This is why I gave it two stars. With that being said sadly there is a list of things I found to be problematic.Most significantly as the directions clearly depicted, this cooling mist system is shown to be in close proximity to patio furniture and people lined up at a buffet style barbecue. When I first saw the directions, I thought great. This is exactly what I want to use the cooling system for. I wanted to set it up near my patio furniture so that I could sit outside, enjoying a nice coffee sitting at my patio with a table and cushioned chairs, without being overwhelmed by the heat. Here in lies the problem. Even with the water setting set at its lowest possible, setting, the patio table, the cushion chairs, and everything in proximity to the blowing fan were quickly saturated with water. This made it impossible to sit and enjoy a coffee and a good read.Next come the functionality issues with the various component parts. There is one plastic part that attaches to the water source, and then there’s another plastic part that is an on off switch to either prevent or allow the water to enter into the cooling mist nozzles.I attached, the hose to my water source and turned the water on a low setting. The connection to the water source immediately was spouting a significant amount of water. I checked the tightness. It was very tight so that wasn’t the problem. I also installed the gasket prior to attaching to the water source, so this clearly was not the problem. It was just a very cheaply made attachment. When I went to check, the fan, water was also spouting out of the little plastic turn on turn off component part. When I switched it on to allow access to the misting nozzles water, still drained out of this component part. I went back to check and make sure I didn’t have the water turned up too high, and I again turned it to a very lowest setting and water still water spewed out of both of these locations. So my thought is, it is a functionality and design issue which ends up wasting a lot of water.I am dissatisfied with this purchase as what it stated on its product description was not what I received.

If I could give this 3.5 stars I would! Not quite 4 stars but above a 3.This mister is great for days when its really hot outside!Installation was easy and took less than 15 mins!You have the option of using the fan (without the mister on) even while it's still attached to the fan.So far I haven't had any issues with leaks or any of the parts breaking.Spare parts are included in case something does break.For the most part, the kit looks as though it will last - especially the tubing and the nozzles.There are some parts that are plastic which could break - I will update if that happens.Whenever I use this it's because I'm hot so I don't care how wet I get - just as long as I'm cool.This mister is a heavy mister - you will get wet while using this!I wish there was an option to control how much mist you receive - light/medium/heavy instead of it just being one setting.Overall, for $18 I can't complain! It makes my days outside much more tolerable even though my clothes are soaked after standing in front of it for a bit.My son loves running in front of it and so does my dog!It definitely provides relief while outdoors and has other uses too!
